I was expecting it to have it hold my hair much longer than it did. After a few hours my hair was already falling. Would recommend another product of Herbal Essences hairspray over this cheaper version.

I have been using the Set Me Up Stylers Extra Hold Mousse for YEARS. I have naturally curly hair and use the mousse on my wet hair (along with the extra hold hairspray) before I defuse my hair dry. I have always been happy with the outcome. Until now. I'm not sure what has changed about the product, but something is different. I realize the design of the can is different, so don't know if it's that or the formula has changed or both. I am very unhappy with the mousse now. The mouse isn't as creamy as before - more frothy and just bubbled down in to nothing in no time. It's literally like putting water on my already wet hair. I have no hold on my hair now, like before. Thought maybe I just got a bad bottle, so didn't give up. Have used two additional bottles with the same results. I have switched to Pantene mousse for curly hair and hope to have better results. If the product imroves, would come back as it is affordable + smells great. But, for now, am done with it.

I really liked this hairspray. It gives me the hold I need without making my hair super stiff. It's super helpful in this humid weather! The only bad part is the smell. It's better than most hairsprays. However, at first when you spray it, it's too much. The fragrance is overwhelming. But you get over it in 10 seconds so I can't complain too much. I've gone through two bottles of this and I'm going to keep using it!

I don't use hairspray very often, and when I do, it's generally just to keep the frizz in check. This worked perfectly. It made my hair perfectly smooth, and it didn't overpower the perfume I was wearing at all or make my hair crunchy.

What I received is not what is shown or advertised in the picture. The picture shows Herbal Essence Set Me Up Extra Hold but what I received was called Herbal Essence Fixatif Extra (2) and it is not the same product. I thought maybe it was just new packaging, so I opened it and tried it. I was disappointed but for just a few dollars, I was not going to the trouble of returning it.

when i first tried this, i expected it to be good, bu when i tried it, it smells HORRIBLE, i did hold styles but it made my hair really crunchy. i do not recommend this!

I got this as a tiny sample bottle when I bought the Herbal Essences Leave-in Split End Protector, and absolutely loved the sample! It smells great if you like light floral scents, has strong-yet-soft hold, dries soft, and you can even run your fingers or a brush through your hair without having to pull, pull, pull! I love it so much. It doesn't feel like I have hairspray on my hair. I usually hate sprays with holds that aren't flexible, but this doesn't even feel like extra strong hold, it feels flexible. Love it!

I agree with the other person - I forget your name but the title was "Like sugar" or something like that. I have very thick hair, and i wanted to try this because I love herbal essences usually. But to be 100% honest, this didn't work. My hair fell flat within an hour, and the product made my hair frizzy, tangled, matted, and generally ugly! I spent a while in the bathroom trying to salvage my hair (i was at a party) and i ended up throwing it in a ponytail (yes, with a cocktail dress on!). I will definitely never use this again. I am NOT a representative of Garnier, but their bamboo hairspray worked really well for me (didn't smell as good though).
