Comments about Hershey's Cinnamon Baking Chips, 10 oz:
I am incredibly disappointed that my "chips" don't exist. The whole bag melted together into a large lump. I had hoped to use a food processor to at least make them useable, but even that was a bust.
There was one and only one small piece of cinnamon that hadn't melted into the large chunk. It was grainy - probably from melting and rehardening. That made the concept of trying to cut the large chunk into pieces that would fit in the food processor not worth the trouble.
I definitely won't buy these from drugstore.com ever again, and I will probably hesitate before purchasing anything else that could arrive in the same condition.
Just be careful. Maybe wait till very cool weather if you really want to give these a try.?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Melting Directions: Microwave: Place 1-2/3 cups (10oz package) chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at medium (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at medium an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted when stirred. Top of Stove: Place ships in small heavy saucepan over lowest possible heat. Stir constantly until chips are melted.
