I use it almost daily, especially since my husband is in the military and is overseas. This toy is good for achy muscles and looks like a nondescript item, which is great in case someone stumbles upon it in your room. The main attraction of this item (for me at least) is for its pleasure in bed. The only negative I can give this product would be that it's noisy.. but for the power and vibration it gives.. it's a trade off I'll gladly accept. I've tried many other vibrators in the past and they've either burned out or just didn't hit the right spot. I LOVE THE MAGIC WAND. If you're thinking about trying this..GET IT!! YES it is very much the "cadillac of vibrators," but is not without its downfalls. I won't repeat the "cons" already listed, but I will stress that although you WILL have org*sm after org*sm in one session, you have to wonder why. They are quick and they are strong, but often SO quick that they are premature, and while very pleasurable, leave you feeling a sense of frustration AFTER that you aren't quite "finished," and the cycle goes on. [...].After all the years this has been around, it is appalling that they don't even TRY to listen to reviews and make one smaller with more variations in speed. I actually prefer the high setting, but I can see why some might get too sensitive. Another thing that needs to be made smaller is the HEAD of this thing. [...]Overall, as it stands based on what it out there, I highly recommend this (get the waterproof pink Doc Johnson naughty desires egg w/4 speeds for times when less is better)...the Hitachi definitely will makes anyone org*sm, and is a good QUICK stress reliever, but they have much work to be done. It is too powerful for me to take it in bed, but it definitely works very well on my sore muscle. After walking 12 hrs a day on a trip, it was such a big help!  Pros

Sounds just like our regular back massager (which isn't shaped right for intimate use), so I didn't even think about it being noisy. If someone else in the household hears it, you can tell them its the back massager. (It is--even if that's not what you're using it for!) As someone else noted, this wand quickly induces intense Os, but it can leave you wanting more. I do not see this as a problem! My husband loves watching me peak a couple times before we leave the wand behind and come together for one more peak! This is our first vibe and from what I've read, I don't think we need to try many others. Love the power!--something I don't think you can get from battery-powered models. May try something smaller someday for travel and G-spot play, but for fantastic play at home -- and sore backs! -- we're keeping this one plugged in by the bed. It's awesome! Pros

This was the best [$] I have EVER spent!And it massages the back and shoulders quite well! I heartilyrecommend it! It does make a lot of noise, but it IS marketed as aback massager, so if anyone hears the buzzing, they can assume thatyour back is getting massaged! I used to be amazed by the power and efficiency of my rabbit. The HMW blows it out of the water and across the country. If it takes you more then 10 mins with one of these beauties, you're doing it wrong.  Pros

Best Uses Comments about Hitachi Magic Wand #HV-250R, 1 ea: I first bought my Hitachi wand in the late 90s & it worked solidly & quietly until the cord shorted out in 2009. I bought a replacement & found it was much louder & felt a little unstable compared to the first wand. Within 4 months of infrequent use, the low speed completely stopped working & shortly after that the unit just stopped working altogether. Though it was still under warranty, it just wasn't the sort of thing I wanted to return (maybe they count on that.) I thought maybe I just got a bad one, so I ordered a replacement. Oh my gosh, it seems louder & more unstable than the last. It's clear that this product is no longer manufactured under the same quality standards as the earlier wand... so I would caution you to read the positive reviews knowing that recently there's been a big downward shift in quality. The sad thing about this is that there are no good substitutes for this product. I've tried Brookstone's wand and it is much better quality, but it's controls are awful & the body isn't long enough to be used comfortably (and it doesn't accept Hitachi attachments.) So, unless Hitachi gets it's act together, there isn't a good 2nd choice. Too bad. Pros
