I have used the ParaSpa on a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) and have seen good results. One of the best bonuses is treating your feet before crawling into bed. Your feet are warm making for a good night's sleep. VS Most Liked Negative Review Inexpensive and Adequate I used the professional paraffin bath at a rehab center before I bought my own. This one is a very good price, it was on sale for [$] [...]. It does the job. It takes two hours to warm up the paraffin, but that doesn't bother me. It is safe enough to leave on 24 hours a day, so I try to use it every day or other day.I have arthritis pain in my hands and some tendonitis. I believe the paraffin baths have helped relieve the pain for me. I reuse the paraffin since I am the only one using the bath, therefore it is quite economical as far as replenishing the paraffin.Negatives? Well, it's not a professional model. The professional ones have a thermostat to regulate heat. This one doesn't and for me, the temperature is too hot. I have tried dipping my hands for a very short period of time and then dipping them more times. 20 maybe. I alternate hands too. This seems to help the heat problem. I do find the paraffin included with the spa, and recommended for replacement as too thin. It also sticks to your hands when you take it off, especially if you leave it on for a while. I have overcome this by putting olive oil on my hands before dipping them. This seems to work well, although not perfectly.I do find the objections of some of the buyers rather silly...after all what do you want for [$]? I think it's a good item for a great price. The wax leaked out the bottom onto my counter. Such a mess....Maybe a quality control issue. Comments about HoMedics ParaSpa Plus Paraffin Bath, 1 ea: I bought this to replace a Homedics Parafin Bath that I loved but stopped working after 5 years. That one was great. This one has only 2 settings, on the ready setting the wax is much hotter than what I was used to, the lid is flimsy and difficult to open. Overall I am disappointed with this product.
