I bought the "Honeywell Enviracaire QuietCare, Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Cleaner, Model 17000" and this universal air filter was recommended so I bought it. Note: the Honeywell Enviracaire QuietCare, Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Cleaner, Model 17000 comes with a HEPA filter already. I bought the extra for when I would need it. The universal filter that was bought is not the exact same size and may do the job but not very efficiently. especially if it does not fit the same as the original. I recommend buying the proper size filter and not the "Universal" filter.

Works great, lasts several years. You do need to wrap the prefilter around it. Since you have to use 2 univeral replacement filters(for my unit), you need to know how to install the prefilter. Do you wrap one around both of the replacements (they are stacked on each other for my unit) or wrap them individually. Either way would be easy. [...]

[...] the filter fits like it's supposed to easy to intsall. should not need to replace for at least 3-5 years so it's a great value. will probably order another for future replacement. Thanks to drugstore.com I saved some money did not have to return the unit i purchased. Make sure to use the prefilter to protect the hepa filter that way it will last longer.also availalble at a great price.
