Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: I have asthma and the only air purifiers I will use are Honeywell HEPA. I have the older version which is still going going going and glad that it is a bit noisy as I live on a noisy street and it lulls me to sleep smothering the street sounds; it's like having a mini air conditioner too and I breathe much better - best area is bedroom.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: The product is on the loud side, but that is probably necessary to clean a large amount of air. What I don't like is that there is a rather bright light that is always on, which is a real bother if you put it in the bedroom like I did. I have to put something on top of the light to block it, but that is difficult because the air comes out the top near the light. So you have to be careful to not block the air coming out.

Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: I use this primarily in my basement where damp air and cat dander eminate. It purifies the air in nearly all rooms of a 1600 sqft/bi-level home from one location.(Corner bedrooms need the product within the room itself.) It dehumidifies and cools the air as well, quite an efficient product for its price range. Easy to use and transport to another location in the house. Highly recommended for what it's designed to do. The only knock is that it operates a bit loud on medium and high speeds, but hey, I keep it in the basement where only the cats are disturbed by the noise.

Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: Works great. I wake up rested and feeling great. However it does take alot of the moisture out of the air so you will get a dry nose.

Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: Huge Humungous but effective. The fan motor is very powerful and at turbo it does make a lot of noise, but that is not what anyone may need to run it at always. There are quieter settings too.

Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: We use this item in our bedroom at night. The noise is not a problem because we like to have white noise when we sleep. The lights on the top of the unit are annoying, so we have blacked them out with electrician's tape. Also, the unit throws a great deal of air out of the top of it. This does represent a slight problem as the air blows over us while in bed. Perhaps if we had a bigger room and the unit would be further away from our bed, this would not be a negative issue.

Comments about Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier, Model 50250, 1 ea: a pulmonary physician recommended air cleaners to me many years ago and I tried several until I found Honeywell. Now that is all I buy and they not only last for many years beyond the warranty, but they are extremely effective whether you have allergies, asthma or just want to breathe clean air. I also like that on the higher setting, it does sound like wind rushing through but for me that is a HUGE PLUS as it helps me sleep better... smothering out all other sound and humming me to sleep. Nice to know that Honeywell is still high quality. I also have recommended this to corporations, friends, etc. and bought one for my dad who just hit 96 years of age... healthy air!!!
