This is a great natural product with simple ingredients. The reason it doesn't lather is because it is natural, the lather in other shampoos comes from detergent or surfactant. Most shampoos have a surfactant like sodium lauryl sulfate or ammonium lauryl sulfate that make them lather. This is also a great shampoo for itchy scalp or dandruff, tea tree is a great natural remedy for many things. HEad and Shoulders has so many chemicals in it, it may be a temporary fix but in the long run, it causes other unwanted chemical reactions in your body.

This shampoo has a lot of things going for it, which is why I tried it in the first place--natural ingredients, cruelty-free, smaller business with a nice mission statement, and a nice scent. However, I found it to be too thin as a product, and it just didn't lather well. I had to use way too much of the product just to clean my hair thoroughly, and I have short hair. I can't imagine how it would be for women with longer, thicker hair than mine. I'm sorry I bought it, honestly, and after just a few washes I found it so annoying and ineffective that I switched back to my original shampoo.

Used at home on a regular basis. As a daily swimmer I like the gentleness of this shampoo. I do use a special shampoo for chlorine removal after swimming, so having this gentle shampoo for home use is great. My wife uses this shampoo regularly and loves it too.
