I love this product. It's gluten free and smells delicious. It can be a touch drying, but it does protect the color nicely. I trust anything by Hugo Naturals. Love them.

Liked list of "natural ingedients" and that it is for "color treated hair"-- I did not care that geranium scent is very faint as it's not my favorite
and unscented would be fine, but it smells like plastic --- think very old stock or subjected to heat. I avoid drinking water in plastic bottles because of this but skin is an organ of absorption too so cannot be good. Also, my hair felt dry after
--- very underwhelmed!

I lightly color my hair with a demi color. This doesn't wash out the color too quickly. Gentle.

One very positive thing I can say is that it isn't as runny as most natural shampoos and it does lather well. Now I don't know if my soft water has anything to do with that but I have used other natural shampoos that haven't given me much lather but this one gives a good amount. You can't use these natural shampoos like you do the shampoos with all the chemicals because you have to put it on the scalp and work it in and not gather all your hair and scrub because then you will have nothing but knots to try to work out.

I Love Love Love this shampoo. After reading about all the chemicals and the damage comercial shampoos can cause, I switched to safe and natural products. This is highly rated on the EWG web page. You have to get used to natural shampoos - they don't really lather but do not strip you hair of natural oils. They do leave your hair clean, shiny, smelling fresh, and conditioned. I use this with the Hugo conditioner. I like the geranuim scent the best but I also like the Hugo Coconut. I no longer need product after product such as leave in conditioners as my hair is stronger, healthier, and feels terrific!
