I do not like to use medication on me or my three years old daughter, so if I really need to use it, my first choice came always to Natural or Homeopathic medications, and Hyland's products are very good besides not side effects the little tiny pills dissolve very quickly with a good taste so I do not have to fight with my little girl. And the best this product really Calms help when there is not apparent reason to be cranky and crying .

The first night I gave my 3 y/o a couple of doses and she still woke up numerous times. The next night I gave her about 3 doses and she woke up once. Now I give her 4-5 doses 60-90 minutes before bed and she sleeps through the night for the most part, she may wake up once here and there.

I ordered these as a last ditch effort to try to get a almost 4 year old out of the habit of climbing into bed with us every night. We were just exhausted and have tried positive reinforcement, rewards for staying in bed, threat, punishment, super nanny method of walking her back without talking - I mean we tried it all to no avail. After a couple weeks of giving the pills at bedtime she was falling asleep more quickly, staying in bed longer and waking us up much less often. Now after about 4 weeks, she rarely gets out of bed. Now we also leave 2 more pills on her dresser and if she wakes at night she will take those and put herself back to bed. I'm not sure if it is also a bit of the power of suggestion but we sure don't care. They seem to work for her and we could not be happier and more rested. I have already ordered 4 more bottles. We will never be without these!

I give 2 Calms Forte to my kids ages 2 and 5 before bedtime. If they are still wiggeling around after 15 minutes in bed they get 2 more, that does the trick. This product helps my kids clam down for the night and helped my 2 year old sleep through the night after beeing weaned.

My 3 year old son rarely sleeps, ever. He gets 3-4 hours at night and maybe a 2 hour nap during the day. He is currently being tested for sensory issues/autism. So I was really hoping that this product would help him sleep more.
I haven't noticed much difference in his sleep at night but he is more calm during the day and we have less temper-tantrums.
We went from having major tantrum and meltdowns all the time to rarely having them, that alone is why I'm still using this product.
This product is worth a try.

My 2 year old son had been getting up during the night since he was 18 months old. Some of it was his adenoids. However, after adenoid surgery he was still getting up at least 2 -3 times a night. We were desperate to help him sleep though the night. I had a friend recommend Hyland's product to me. So I bought a bottle and tried it. He calms for bed time and falls asleep much faster and with no fuss. He also sleeps much more restful and through the night! The best is that it is all natural and do not have to worry about them being "addicted" to this! Would highly recommend for those parents struggling with a toddler that is still getting up in the middle of the night!

Useless product. My six year old daughter suddenly began to refuse to sleep in her bed about a month ago, claiming everything in the world was bothering her - from mosquito bites to the room being too dark, and this product did nothing to calm her down or help her sleep. Waste of money and hope.

My 2 year old son suddenly stoped taking afternoon naps, but I knew he was tired. He was cranky all day, crying...etc. So I tried to give him only 2 pills before nap and he fell asleep in 20 minutes. i am not using it for nigh time, because he doesn't have problems to go to bed and fall asleep. I just wanted him to rest little bit during the day, because I think he is still little for not taking naps. And it helped. He wakes up after 2 hours, well rested, happy little boy. And then he goes to bed at 7pm, without any problems. Very good product and doesn't have any side effects and it's natural. Try it!!!

I've used these on my kids for a couple of years now. Not every night, but as needed. I normally give them about half an hour to go to sleep and then I check on them. If my 5 year old is still restless, or when my 8 year old is still talking to her stuffies, then I give them a dose and they settle down and drop off to sleep within 10 to 15 minutes. I also use it whenever someone wakes up from a nightmare. I have taken them myself when some nagging worry is keeping me from relaxing enough to fall asleep.

These are not "knock-out" pills and won't make someone sleep if it's noisy or they are uncomfortable. What they do is calm down the racing mind so that drifting into sleep occurs naturally. But you can't expect to have a party going on downstairs and give these to your child to make them sleep through it. You still need to follow standard bedtime routine recommendations. I'd be a little hesitant to recommend that you give this every night as part of the bedtime routine, not because I think there's any harm in the pills, but only because I would hate to run out suddenly if the child thinks they can't sleep without it. For kids that have had sleeping trouble for a long time, I'd give it until they seem to "catch up" on their sleep and then try a night without it. Oddly enough, being overtired doesn't tend to make kids fall asleep quicker. Instead it makes them more restless and less able to sleep.

If your child is sleepless due to teething pain, I'd recommend the Hylands Teething pills instead - we went through many bottles of that when my kids were infants.
