I started using HypoTears over 25 years as a contact lens wearer when suggested by my optometrist. I had used others but it was hard to find ones safe for hard contacts lenses and didn't sting. I use these whenever my eyes feel dry or irritated. They don't sting and I've tried others over the years when I had trouble finding these and they never work as well. Being able to get them online is a blessing! I use them more now because unfortunately my dry eyes have become worse as I've aged.

I started using this product in the mid-1980s when I purchased gas-permeable contact lenses after several years of hard lenses. These drops were recommended by my optician when I complained of red eyes. I am still using HypoTears even though I'm almost 60 and now have problems with dry eyes affecting my vision. I've tried other products (even one produced by the same company) and still go back to these because they still offer the best relief.

This is to revise my original comments about Hypo Tears. I have found out that one of the ingredients, Benzalkonium Chloride, which is a preservative, can cause corneal disease with frequent prolonged use. I was using this product up to 6 or 7 times an hour for my severe chronic dry eyes, but I have since learned that Benzalkonium Chloride can actually be harmful if used more than 3 or 4 times a day. Think twice about frequent use of this product if you want to protect your corneas.

too bad this product was taken off the shelves in my area, after getting tired of looking around in so many places, i decided to go online , it's kind of a hussle but i can't live without 'em . I'ts been over 20 years using them and no other product will replace them, "thank you hypotears for being there for us"

I'm allergic to the preservatives in most eye drops and I was so glad to find that I can use Hypo Tears without any problem. It has helped me cope with my chronic dry eyes immensely and I will continue to use it several times a day.

What a blessing to find that Drugstore.com carries this product. We live 70 miles from a large town where it can be purchased, and my husband cannot travel. This product was recommended by our eye doctor, and causes our eyes to feel soothed when we use it.

I have been using this product for many years. After trying
other products suggested by my eye dr. I always come back to these. They refresh and lubrcate without being thick and gloppy. It's just like putting a drop of water in the eye, but with lasting results. I use them throughout the day, every day.
