I have issues with my neck and shoulders. If I apply one of these patches before bed, I can sleep pain-free without having to take pain medicine or sleep aids. They stay put, but removal is easy and painless. In my opinion, this works better than Icy Hot cream - probably because it stays put so well and can't be rubbed off. I wish they put some methyl salicylate (wintergreen) in these patches, though - I don't care for the smell of straight menthol. A minor complaint, though - not worthy of removing a star over. I'm in the military and I'm now deployed. I pulled a muscles in my arm and I can use these patches on my arm while I'm sleeping (I just stick it on then wrap an Ace wrap over it to keep it in place while I'm moving around while sleeping) and I'll be ready to go for the next day. These patches are great for minor back strains as well. I would recommend them to friends and patients!
