Love Iman cosmetics. I've been wearing the Nutmeg eyeshadow off & on since high school. I love it! Glad i found it at such a reasonable price here. I stopped buying for a while because i got sick of department store prices. Didn't like the African Violet on me. It was way too dark.

The color is very beautiful. Can be worn with most skin tone. It brings out my bronzy/yellow undertones. I love it. Also try Iman cream to powder in Clay 1.

I got this in 'White Gold.'

Maybe my eyelids are super-sensitive but I got an allergic reaction from this: within a couple of hours of applying this eyeshadow, my eyelids began to itch and my eyes started watering. And as this eyeshadow tends to flake, any other areas of my face that this may have landed also started to itch (i.e my upper cheek, near my temples).

The eyeshadow itself is disappointing - for a product that's supposedly gear towards women of color, this was pretty sheer. I was expecting something with a little more opacity and pigment.

And as I mentioned, this mascara flakes. It has a powdery texture that goes all over the place. This makes it hard to control and makes application look sloppy.

I'm hoping Iman re-formulates this product as I think they (the company) definitely have the potential to make really great products to a very under-served demographic.

I got the color "White Gold." On application, this eyeshadow goes on smooth but has a tendency to flake of because of it's powder-y texture. I had to wipe some off my cheek. The color isn't very pigmented and that disappointed me as Iman should know how darker skin needs stronger, more vibrant colors... Ultimately, the fact that this eyeshadow made my eyelids itchy and red made me stop using it.
