I have flat, thin hair. This blow dryer does the job but it's no different from any other blow dryer I've used. Does dry the hair quick however did dry my hair out too much. Does not make my hair silky or shiny or give me more volume. Stopped heating after 3 years of use.

I usually buy the basic dryer by Conair w/ the cord keeper. I've never had any issues w/ the cords, same with this one, works perfectly. The upgrade to this type of blowdryer makes my curly hair relax without any frizz instantly when I use the blowdryer to straighten my hair. I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase, especially for the price!!!

This is the 2nd Conair Cord-Keeper we have owned and we really like them. I like the quietness of this hair dryer as it doesn't scream in your ear like most do. The cord- keeper is a nice feature rather than wrapping it around the dryer. It provides enough power and drying power to dry my hair quickly and gives my hair great volume. The cord has enough length to not cause any problems when using. I have tried other dryers but the Conair is the best for us.

Bought as a spare, so I stored it for about 6 months before 1st use. Cord keeper is totally unreliable. 3 months into use the motor stopped working, which is definitely tied to the cord keeper feature. Cord retraction is in the same area a the blower motor. I have to plug it in and shake it around until the contacts for the blower engage. NEVER buy a cord keeper again! The Ion feature does work to make hair shinier and frizz free.

My previous blow dryer was the Ion brand, so I didn't notice much different between it and this Conair as far as controlling frizz which it does well. I do like that this blow dryer is light weight and although i have straight hair, the difuser would be a bonus for someone with curly hair. The only Con I have is since it's a cord keeper, the cord is really short. If you have an outlet that's pretty far from your sink, it would be a problem. Otherwise I love it.

The placement of the cord retract button is unfortunate. If your bathroom is configured in a certain way (outlet to the left) and you hold your blowdryer with the left hand and hold your brush with the right, each time you set it down, it will trigger the cord to retract, unless you do an awkard twist which is a pain if you blowdry your hair straight with a round brush and need to constantly readjust for each section. Poor design decision on Conair's part. Also, the finish of this hairdryer deteriorated rapidly even though I don't even travel with it, and the cord sometimes retracts and sometimes does not.

My hair is smooth after use but I find it extremely difficult to use with such a short lead. I suppose it is ok if your plug socket is located halfway up your wall.

I don't use a dryer too often, but when i do, i don't like to spend a lot of time with it. i hate wrapping the cord up after i'm done. this cord keeper dryer is great for that reason.
