It is much more stable than another model I tried but had to return because it would loosen due I think to the moisture from the running shower. This tub bar is much more stable. Even after tightening it down, it only stays sturdy for a few days and then has to be tightened down again. I have gotten to the point where it no longer tightens and simply remains in a slanted and unsafe position. In a year's time it is no longer useful. I do NOT recommend this product. Even after tightening it down, it only stays sturdy for a few days and then has to be tightened down again. I have gotten to the point where it no longer tightens and simply remains in a slanted and unsafe position. In a year's time it is no longer useful. I do NOT recommend this product.  Pros
