We selected the HX model due to the larger opening. The larger opening makes dumping a heck of a lot easier. We use 30gal bags in our HX where it calls for 13gal. The 30gal bags fit perfectly without any excessive bag hanging out. The bag ring securely holds the bag and is very easy to use. The automatic opening is great, so great I thought I was going to run the batteries down just watching it..LOL You can't go wrong with this touch-less trashcan and I would highly recommend it. If you think you are lucky and like a slick, nerdy trashcan...buy it; it may not last you that long though.On a side note, if you are looking for specs for the AC adapter and want to buy a universal instead of one from iJunk, it is a 6V 500ma, positive tip. I've heard the battery life and general operation can diminish for lots of folks, so I'll keep an eye on it. One of the best surprises is that it holds the full weight of a 13 gallon trash bag, so you don't have to empty it until you really have to. Having 2 kids at home, I can say from experience that this is huge -- we used to empty lots of not-quite-full garbage bags from our old trash can. Other than that, we've yet to replace the batteries and we've had it for a couple of weeks now. I think getting the adapter would be a good idea. Pros

Wide profile allows you to get more trash into the bag and truly fill it saving on bag usage. Easy to get full bag out of can with the vent holes in the bottom. A small layer of Styrofoam in the bottom will prevent loud clangs when first filling a new bag. It looks great with our other stainless steel appliances. A bit pricey but you'll love the can. Pros

The shape is nice and allows you to put in larger objects than the small round one. I have the adapter so I don't have to us batteries. I absolutely love it. My other trashcan's (which cost much more) hinge broke and was not repairable. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this one delivers for the price! Pros
