Comments about Ivy Block Lotion for Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Rash, 4 fl oz: I'm highly allergic to poison ivy and have had to be treated with prednisone and steriod cream numerous times. Decided to try this a few summers ago, and since then, have had only very light case or two. We have rural property in Central Texas and poison ivy is just part of the territory. I alwys put this on under my gloves and shirt sleeves. It's a little runny, but persevere! After I get finished with my outdoor activity, I wash with either Burt's Bees poison ivy soap or Technu. Between the barrier (Ivy block) and the washing, I've had success keeping the poison ivy effect minimized.

Comments about Ivy Block Lotion for Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Rash, 4 fl oz: I am clearing land to build a house, the area has massive amounts of poison ivy. This is the first time, after using ivy block, that I haven't returned home full of blisters. I found the lotion dried out my skin but that is a small price to pay.

By Rob E from Moraga, CA Comments about Ivy Block Lotion for Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Rash, 4 fl oz: I'm a trail runner with poison oak sensitivity. After a few bad outbreaks on arms and legs, I tried Ivy Block and have been very satisfied. I still occasionally get hit but it's always on spots that I haven't covered as thoroughly. If you can't cover up with clothes, this is the next best thing. (7 of 8 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? By Anonymous from Undisclosed Comments about Ivy Block Lotion for Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Rash, 4 fl oz: This product didn't work for me... I had to remove some large poison ivy vines that were girdling a pine tree. It was a big task, and I wanted some extra protection. I was wearing long pants and a long sleeved shirt. I rolled up my sleeves and applied the Ivy Block to my arms. I used generous amounts of the lotion, and then waited 15 minutes. I put on gloves and proceeded to tackle the vines. The job took about 2-3 hours. Afterwards, I thoroughly rinsed and cleansed my arms with soap and water. Then I threw my clothes in the washer and took a shower. By Ms. Robinson from Undisclosed Comments about Ivy Block Lotion for Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Rash, 4 fl oz: Although this product is messy to apply, it really works...I run 13 miles every Sunday on heavily wooded trails where contact with poison ivy and other weeds is virtually unavoidable. Year after year, I dreaded the advent of summer due to the constant severe rashes I was getting from contact with this type of foliage. Several years ago, after one of my runs, I developed a rash so severe it covered me from calf to midsection and had to be treated with prednisone. My brother said I looked like one of those people with flesh-eating disease! (6 of 6 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
