I'll be honest: I love this brand. Every product I've tried from Jason has been great. After moving from a humid environment to the desert I began experiencing very dry skin- including on my scalp. It was itchy, it was flaky, my hair was full of static electricity... it was driving me crazy. I tried several different brands and nothing changed. I drank more water and my skin remained dry. I tried hot oil treatments and continued having scalp problems. Tried washing my hair every other day, then felt both oily and dry. Then I remembered this brand from when I had my hair in braided extensions and was having scalp issues. After several weeks of using it, my scalp and hair are back to normal. I am also happy that it doesn't use lauryl/laureth sulfates, which can contribute to drying and irritation. It feels great on the scalp and I love the smell of tea tree oil. We have hard water and it still lathers up nicely.

I bought this product for my daughter who has oily, stringy hair. She hated the minty smell, and wouldn't use it. Since I spent the money on it, i figured I'd use it. I can't say for absolute certainty, but I believe I ended up with an insanely itchy rash, mostly on my chest area, sides of face, and breast area. The rash came and went in intensity, but always lingered, even after II went to the dermatologist about 4 times, was on antibiotics, steroids, creams...nothing worked. Then I was thinking...what did I do differently in the last 2 months. I started going through everything, and realized I would use this shampoo every once in a while, and that was the ONLY skin contact item that was different at that time. I threw out this bottle, the rash SLOWLY went away, and now another 3 months has passed and the rash never came back. I'm not saying that everyone will have this problem, but I was CRAZY with the itching, and I am writing this review so that it may help someone else if they end up with a mysterious rash.

Comments about JASON Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo, 17.5 fl oz:

As a curly girl, I tried to minimize/eliminate use of shampoo, but recent scalp issues have left me scrambling for solutions. I like this shampoo for how clean and itch-free it leaves my scalp, but I'll continue my search for a sulfate-free solution.

This made my dandruff soooooo bad. I stopped using head and shoulders for this thinking it would be better, but I was wayyyy wrong. I even thought "maybe it's just my scalp getting accustomed to another shampoo". I tried it for a month and it just got worse as time progressed. THIS DOES NOT HELP DANDRUFF.

Comments about JASON Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo, 17.5 fl oz:

My poor daughter was has been suffering with stinky scalp on a off for over two years. We have tried Nizoral and other expensive shampoos with only some relief, I think mostly we smell their perfumes. Then problem quickly returned.
But with Jasons tea tree the odor has been REMOVED. I believe part of her problem is oily scalp, but even so it takes much longer after stopping using Jason's (only when I ran out) for some odor to happen.
              I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!
The only con is that her hair feels at little more like it can use a little conditioner after using this versus other 'normal' shampoos.

This was the worst shampoo that I ever purchased. The smell and lather are unimpressive. It left my hair impossible to brush through and did not relieve itchy scalp at all.

I researched all the tea tree shampoos on the market. This one contains the most organic ingredients. It's also one of the most reasonably priced.

Tea tree has natural antibiotic and anti-fungal properties. If you are around pets or kids a lot, you should use a shampoo like this to protect yourself from lice, mites, fleas. Tea tree oil makes your skin unappealing to the little buggers.

Bought this out of desperation for my husband's head. Before using this and trying tar and p. zinc products, he had a seriously dry, rough, and flaky scalp. It was very noticeable because he has a shaved head. After using this for a few weeks, he now sports a flake-free flat top. It's nice that it smells good too.

It does what it says it does, no itchy or flaky scalp since using it. It is very watery so it has been difficult for me to know whether I'm using too much or too little. This is also my first organic shampoo and I undersand that organic products do not lather as much as the conventional products do - but extra lather does not mean a better product. It rinses easily.
