I have been eating Jelly Belly sugarless beans for sometime now and re-discovered them. I suck on them and don't chew for that cost me a hell of a lot of dental work - so I suck on them and when they get sticky I toss - this way I get the best and don't worry about weight (which I always worry about). I haven't experienced any special stomach issues (and I have other stomach problems which have not gotten worse. The flavor is perfect=you wouldn't know they were sugarles. All around I am most pleased - though expensive - and I hope you will give them a try. Sherrie Holtz

The taste is light, not too sweet, but not anywhere close to the original Jelly Belly. My problem is with at least one of the ingredients. After having a regular size serving, I spent the rest of the day in severe pain, with cramps, bloating, and extreme gas. Not pretty. I've done some reading, and think it is the polydextrose which is the culprit. I feel compelled to warn others about the possibility of a similar reaction.

I tried these because I am a diabetic. They were very good and satisfied my sweet tooth without raising my blood sugar. I liked almost all the flavors. The flavors were true to the names of each jelly bean.

Comments about Jelly Belly Sugar-Free Jelly Beans, Assorted Flavors:

Jelly Belly jelly beans are my favorite candy. When I found out I was diabetic I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to have them any more. I went online and found out that they have a sugar-free version. You can't eat too many at one time or you will have stomach problems (ie, diarrhea, upset stomach), but as long as you have one serving (the small 3.1 oz bag has two servings), you shouldn't have any problems. I only have them occasionally as a special treat.

Comments about Jelly Belly Sugar-Free Jelly Beans, Assorted Flavors:

These are delicious and a perfect sweet fix you need every so ofter.
If you look at the negative reviews the problem becomes clear - people do not read directions. These candies are made with Maltitol, which in large quantities, can act as a diuretic. The label warns for those that are not used to it to start at a serving size of about 6 jelly beans. The calories are listed for 35 beans, which is ok if your body is fairly accustomed to maltitol. This is where the problem with these being addictive comes in...
In summary - enjoy, but keep in mind, when it comes to sugar free treats, moderation is your friend.

Comments about Jelly Belly Sugar-Free Jelly Beans, Assorted Flavors:

I started eating small amounts of these jelly beans including the sour kind also and woke up with an extended stomach and severe bloating and cramping in the middle of stomach, caused me to have diarrhea and severe vomiting due to the malitol in them. This is a side effect of it that I did not know about.
I almost had to go to the ER to get some relief, I though there was something serously wrong with me.
                Stay away!

because it is sweetened with mannitol, an osmotic diuretic. It causes increase in urination and for some people gas and diarrhea. I am diabetic with illeostomy so gas and diarrhea are a non-issue for me, but blood sugar is a constant battle
