Thought I'd try these since I occasionally want to munch on something but don't want too much sugar. I'm okay with Splenda, but I didn't realize that the first ingredient is Maltitol, which can cause intestinal problems in some people. (My mom is hugely intolerant - her intestines gurgle and she has bathroom emergencies.) Hence, there is a WARNING LABEL on this candy advising you to start with only eight jelly beans to test your tolerance level. Besides this, they aren't very sour and taste a little funny. I guess if I need some candy, I'll just have to splurge on the real thing.

A great snack when looking for something that's low calorie and it keeps your mouth busy. They taste like the real deal to me and the assorted flavors are quite good.

Serious laxative effect if you eat more than 8 tiny jelly beans.
(and I'm drastically understating to not be graphic.)

Got an extra star because they are at least a little sour, but not much. I have found no other sugar free that can claim that. If you must have some sour candy without sugar, you can do this in small doses after a meal. On an empty stomach you are asking for trouble.

(And if you serve this to guests or as wedding favors, you are just cruel.)

Jelly Belly is the brand name of the most creative and delicious flavors of Jelly Beans. Those of us who want to enjoy sweets like everyone else and also need to reduce sugar intake truly appreciate this product! We all have tried the other "substitutes" but know Jelly Belly has the right formula. The only "con" would be that portion control is recommended due to the "laxative effect". Eaten in the advised serving size, you can't get a better dessert "goodie" than these!

A wonderful product for jelly bean lovers who are trying to keep carb intake down. The manufacturer recommends starting with just 8 jelly beans, to decrease intestinal symptoms caused by the sweetener. I love these things so much that I can't stop at 8, so I pop an Immodium (OTC) before settling down with my treat and everything is fine. Your mileage may vary, of course.

These taste good. But you absolutely, definitely, 100% know that this is NOT the same as the regular Jelly Belly Sours. The taste is pleasant, but you have to be very careful with these...as in don't eat while on a long trip away from a bathroom! This product may cause you to take frequent trips to the bathroom! They even have a warning on the package about this. The package recommends no more than 8 jelly beans to see if it will affect you in that most ghastly of manners! Bottom line, it tastes okay if you are avoiding sugar, but not delicious. They also will replace your Ex-lax if you decide you want to eat these beans without first testing to see how many you can tolerate. I wouldn't really recommend these. You might as well eat the real things or don't eat them at all.
