Despite reading the reviews of how drying this shampoo could be, I doubted that would effect my semi-oily hair. For a while, this shampoo seemed to worked just fine: it gave my hair shine and smelled beyond amazing, but I also realized a lot of frizz; more than I've ever had before. It wasn't until I had to use my mom's shampoo one day that I realized how drying this had been on my hair, not to mention all the buildup it left in my roots. I immediately stopped using it and switched to a moisturizing shampoo, however, fixing my now-parched hair has not been easy to do.

ughhhhh! I bought this product because I had heard great things about it. It made my hair very greasy and dull.I was excited when I purchased it but in the end I was quite disappointed. The only good thing I could say about it is that it smells great! I'm sticking with my Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo and Conditioner.

At first I used this shampoo with the same brand of conditioner every day. After a while, I felt there was a bit of a filmy build-up. So, I use this shampoo every other day and I use a cheaper brand (Suave)on the other days. I still use the conditioner every day. This combination works like a charm and saves me money too! I love the smell of the BB! Smells awesome. Even my husband noticed how nice my hair smelled and commented :)

At first I loved it, but after a few washes it did not give the same effect. I had to change my shampoo because it was like build up. Plus, my hair was weighed down, no volume. I feel it put a tiny bit of red into my hair and I hate red in my hair. Hair was shiny, but flat. To note, I have normal, fine, color treated hair. Skip this item if that is you too.

I tried this product because I was satisfied with other John Frieda products. I was looking for moisture and shine because of the rough Midwest winters. The shampoo tinted my hair and made it lighter than it naturally is. Also, a little doesnt go a long way with this product. I'll skip trying to save a few bucks and stick with Nexus and Biolage.

Wanting to maintain the color longer, I don't wash my hair every day. I was using the Pantene Brunette Expressions but my hair looked and felt oily the second day. All of the Brilliant Brunette products are wonderful. They make my color treated hair shiny and soft without making it greasy.

I was skeptical when first buying this product but wanted to try it. I've found it to be AMAZING when my hair is both currently dyed (usually medium to dark brown with highlights) and while natural (dark brown). It won't change your color, but the SHINE it gives my hair makes my color look richer. The smell of the shampoo and conditioner are both awesome, the shine they deliver is the best and I've found that because the shampoo lathers and foams so well, you can really use smaller amounts than with other products (thus making the product last longer). Recommended!!!

After using it only once I noticed that my hair is shiny and very soft. But the scent doesn't last as long as I would like it to and it made my hair really flat. I would recommend this shampoo but next time I'm going to try the volumizing one.

I love the Brilliant Brunette products - they all smell amazing and leave my hair shiny. Also keeps my hair from looking dull and their moisturizing conditioner is great for thick hair in the winter. Their glaze is great for color boost without harsh chemicals.
