I have very curly course hair mixed with strands of fine hair. I think I've tried everything on the market to control frizz. I was excited about this product but its just okay for me.
First off I will say that I prefer my hair in the straight style but can get away with it being curly if I have a lot of oil in it. I never blow dry my hair but will barrel curl it after its dry and then straighten it the next day. I wash it only two or three times a week.
That being said, I hated having to blow dry the product in. My hair looked horrible after it was dried. I used the flat iron on it and it looked okay.
It felt stiff and waxy and I only used a minimal amount.
It doesn't look any better than when I use my usual products. And it was wavy the next morning as always.
I will stick to my usual routine of cocunut oil on damp hair and good old fashioned Alberto VO5 Conditioning prior to straightening it.

Follow the label directions and you cannot go wrong...If you're a bit nervous about flattening wet hair, then by all means use a blow dryer with a round brush to achieve the same results. I did and it worked fine.

I have medium-length, thick, wavy, and frizzy ethnic hair. It usually takes me 25 minutes to blow dry straight, and another 25 to straighten if I want perfectly straight hair. This product is not a miracle; I still have a few flyaways and have to re-straighten my hair a bit the next day. However, using 7 - 9 sprays of this product cuts my styling time by at least 25 minutes. I can actually blow dry my hair straight in 10 - 15 minutes now, and I can straighten most of my hair in 15 minutes. (I use a straightener at 400°; this helps A LOT.)
My flyaways are horrible usually, but this tames them a lot. My hair also stays straight throughout the day. I went a couple weeks without this product and I realized how much it really helps me. Frizz Ease does absolutely nothing for me, so this product surpassed my expectations. (PS I would not do this for 3-days; you're hair would be greasy after 3 days anyway, let alone with product in your hair.)

I am a Do It Your-selfer. I went from dark, dark brown hair to a full out Sun Blonde. This took me several years to do (I don't ever use bleach) I've learned that by gradually piecing in color (No Foils!...they leave obvious roots!)that I was able to obtain my beautiful shade of blonde. I am part Asian (not blessed with the best hair) ..its coarse, dry, a bit damaged (duh) and frizzy double duh!). I wash my hair only once every 4-5 days) I wanted to find a DIY straightener that would noticably improve the appearance of my hair without side effects. I read several product reviews on the Organix Keratin 30 day straightening treatment, but because several reviews said it could turn my hair brassy, I nixed that and found the John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight Semi-Permanent Styling product at my local store. It does Exactly what it says its does! This is the best alternatative to a salon treatment, for a minimal cost. This is So Easy to use! I shampoo and (yes) even conditioned my hair, toweled dry, and blow dried gently, to about 50% dry (no styling involved). Then sprayed 10-12 sprays all around, I combed through, I took a round/styling brush and blow dry completely, straightening as best I could, until 100% dry (I immediately felt and saw a differance! I finished with a straightening iron,(be patient!). I sectioned my hair, starting underneath, worked my way up and Viola! Instant results that I (and you will love!) My hair felts softer, the ends were healthier, my hair was shinier and bouncier! I loved the results so much, I bought another..for the price, a hair product doesn't get any better than this!

I have hip-length color-treated hair that is completely destroyed--DRY, brittle, split ends, FRIZZY... just a mess. With a counter full of hair products, I had to wear my hair up 95% of the time because it just looked so bad and was so unmanageable. I tried this product and the first results weren't stellar, but I believe that's because I still felt I needed to use other products in conjunction with it. When I used more of this and nothing else (no spray-in conditioner or frizz serum) it actually worked! My hair has never looked or felt as good as it can when I use this product. I still have to use some smoothing oil when dry and again on the second day, but... I was about on the brink of shaving my head before trying this. This is a minor miracle in a bottle. I use 17 sprays per side for my long hair and wait for about an hour before I dry and iron it.

I have very thick, coarse curly hair and try many products to control the frizz and volume. It's not possible for me to blow out my long hair (stylists comment I have enough hair for 3 people!) so I liberally spray 3 Day Straight on wet hair and let dry naturally or with hairdryer. Next I set hair with large hot rollers and let cool. Starting with bottom row, I take each roller out and smooth hair section with flat iron. The results are shiny and amazing. Another option is to flat iron front sections near scalp before setting if you'd like to leave hair in curlier style. It eliminates frizz around your face and can be touched up daily. Absolute best part of all - it lasts until you shampoo it out.

I love this stuff. It isn't stickly or heavy like a serum which I do not care for. It is light but it really does the job. My hair feels better since I started using it. Soft and shiny!
