I hadn't been able to find the Dream Creme very often and when I did on line the cost was 2-4 times what it used to be and this was old stock. I used that product for over 10 years and lasts forever when using a pea size dosage. I am so happy I found it again. "Finishing creme" is one of them. I read about this product in a magazine, and it sounded like something that would make my hair look polished, defrizzed, and, well, "finished" (I'm not very talented at styling my own hair despite my best efforts). I have thin/soft hair at the top and wavy, thick (but not coarse) hair at the bottoms (beneath my ears), which I usually straighten. I often end up with fly-aways on the top, so that's where I aimed this product. FIRSTLY, I learned that you only need less than a pea-sized amount of this, and it's best to spread it around in your fingers before applying it -- otherwise it globs in one spot on your head and looks greasy and flat. It doesn't really tame frizz or fly-aways the way I'd hoped, but I suppose it's better than using nothing. If I spread it around with my fingers/hands and apply it to the whole length of my hair, even just a thin layer, it seems to rob my hair of body (and I like that when my hair is straightened, it's still thick and full; I hate when it's flat). I do like the smell, which lasts for hours, even just a tiny bit of product. It is soft and creamy, and it almost makes my hair soft & silky, but flattens it in the process. All in all, I only used this product rarely for about a year after I got it, and now it's stashed away with the rest of my products I'm over. Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: I have some coarse dry white hair mixed in with graying, brown hair. This product controls the former and helps the latter retain the wave. I do not use it without adding some warm water which seems to help it from becoming too sticky and stiff/hard however if it does a quick comb stops it and retains the wave. Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: A little goes a long way, you can feel it immediately soften hair when applied to your wet hair. I notice the difference when I've run out and have to use something else. I've used this for years and can't do without it! Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: I use this after blowdrying my hair, before other hair products such as gel, or other styling products. Since I color my hair, it tends to be on the dry side, so this product makes it more manageable and adds shine, and makes it easier to style. You don't need much, a little goes a long way. Cons Best Uses Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: I use this product after I shampoo, condition and blow dry. It has a very pleasant smell - fresh and not at all overpowering. It leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy, and falls right into place. I find myself running my fingers through my hair more, it is so touchable. I have fine hair, but lots of it. So many products weigh it down quite easily. I find this product very refreshing. Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: After I wash or just wet my hair, I rub it in, and it makes my wavy hair curly and keeps it in place. I don't have to use hairspray for which my allergies are grateful. My hair is shinier and a little darker (not so gray). Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: It goes without saying to use this product in moderation, but I love it. I'm currently in Iraq and the heat is ridiculous! I use this product to help tame my fly-aways and it works great. I used too much one day and that's why it looked greasy. But otherwise it works great. And it smells good too. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 7/26/2011 Useless gunk! Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, 4 oz: I followed the directions and my hair went from somewhat dry and untamed, to waxy, still somewhat dry, and just as untamed. This product improves NOTHING, only adds weight and stickiness to hair. I'm throwing this entire tube away, as it is useless gunk. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review
