I love, love, love this line of hair color. I'm used to going to the beauty supply store and buying color and developer and using a tint brush to get an all-over, even color. But this stuff blows professional dyes out of the water. It's so incredibly easy to use and it really gives you beautiful color!

I had tried an ash blonde shade in this line after bleaching my hair (since the ash tones down orange and yellow tones), but it turned out too ashy. I put this shade over it and voila—beautiful blonde color that brought my eyes out and looked great with my skin tone. I would highly recommend this shade, even if your hair is on the orangey yellow bleached side.

I have been a natural, golden blonde all my life, but in the past ten years, my hair has become darker, particularly underneath, which has turned especially mousey. I read the reviews for all of the John Fieda blonde colors, and many suggested going lighter than the pictured color, as the colors come out darker than pictured. I was very leery of doing so, as I didn't want to go lighter than my natural blonde color, and as I am nearing 50, feel that light blonde can be very aging. I have never colored my hair before, and was afraid of looking like the many scary bottle-blondes I've seen- you know, over-processed, brassy, and obviously dyed. I also feared that the product would damage my hair. I bought 2 bottles, because my hair is long and thick, but it wasn't necessary; 1 was enough. And it did no damage to my hair; it is silky-soft. It was fairly easy to use, and I did it by myself in front of a mirror to make sure that I covered everything. I left it on for 20 minutes only, because I was afraid that it would be too light if I left it on for too long, and it came out to be the perfect golden blonde color- in fact, the exact color of my original hair. I am thrilled beyond belief! I cannot yet evaluate how long this lasts, but even if it lasts only a month, I would be happy as it is inexpensive enough to use frequently. So yes, it is my experience too, that the color comes out darker than pictured, but for me, this was a great advantage, and exactly what I wanted.

I have tried several different at home coloring products and this is one of the best! I color my hair about every 4-6 weeks and it turns out great everytime.

At first I was worried there wouldn't be enough foam because I have very long hair. I discovered that there was a plentiful amount to cover all my hair and even extra to lather with. Color came out great and love the conditioner that comes with it!

I have medium brown hair that I lighten to medium blond. This review is for the medium natural blond color foam from John Frieda.

Great product, nice coverage, low on fumes, leaves hair in decent, non-limp non-squeaky condition.

However... if you look around you'll find a lot of people on the 'net got color results darker than expected, as I did.

For five days I was totally depressed, until some of the color washed out and left me with natural (and matching) results that lasted about 3-4 weeks. It looked quite good. Now it's all gone and my roots are dark again, and not just the new growth, but the area I had colored as well, so it doesn't seem to last or lighten as much as other (more damaging?) products.

Still, I'll be getting a lighter shade and continuing. My hope is the lighter shade (light natural blond) will give me the results I want right away, rather than waiting for the darker shade to wash out a bit. Also, this product leaves my hair in good shape, not so fried, so I am happy to color a little more often if need be, to keep my hair looking healthy - rather than using my old stuff which lasted but was rough on the hair.

Overall, I quite like this product. One star is deducted just for the initial color results being inaccurate and dark.

I would recommend this to a friend with the warning of the darker results and advising going one shade lighter than desired.

Easy to use with professional results at home. It lightened my dark blonde hair to light natural blonde in 30 minutes. The color foam is very easy to apply leaving hair shiny and totally natural looking.
