I've never used a foam before as they're pretty new - LOVED it! It's so much easier to get an even distribution than it is with the traditional liquidy color mixes. No worries about having areas with more color concentration. Lots of little perks - the gloves are nicer than any I've had before, it's easier to mix (no "cover tip with gloved finger"), it doesn't smell as much. The color, for me, was exactly as I expected based on the colors on the box. I was VERY happy and will be using this exclusively from now on! For the past two years I have used L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference in shade 91/2NB lightest natural blonde and have been very satisfied. Up until two months ago, they changed their formula, and after I used it, I had significant breaking everywhere on my head, and considering I waited the same amount of time in between colorings (7 weeks),used the same color for the past 8 years and never had any breakage like this, I wasn't going to buy it again. I decided to try to John Frieda Precision Foam in color 9N Light Natural Blonde because it was near the exact color I was using before. I had never used foam before, but the application was easy, and even for my long hair I had more than enough left over. Of course all hair color is going to smell bad so no complaints with any of that stuff. The next day, the color was not what it looked like on the box at all. I understand that it doesn't always turn out the way you want it to, but this should have been closer. All of the gold was taken out of my hair, and turned into a lighter Ash blonde. I was not happy or satisfied and only after two washes, TWO WASHES, my gold tone was back. Permanent hair color? So it says on the box. Two weeks after the product application (I wash my hair every other day) I can see my Inch and a Half Roots! Seriously not worth the money and I will not be getting this again. On the bright side, if you want to spend 12.00+ for a temporary hair color slightly different go ahead and make your purchase with Frieda Foam. Comments about John Frieda Precision Foam Color Precision Foam Colour, 5N Brilliant Brunette Medium Natural Brown, 1 ea: I tried this product on a whim (brown/black) and just loved it! I have a little grey and like dye close to my own color, but that gives it body and a nice healthy highlight. I was shocked at how easy it was to use and apply.

Comments about John Frieda Precision Foam Color Precision Foam Colour, 5N Brilliant Brunette Medium Natural Brown, 1 ea: I liked the color, but really found the foam very drippy and messy. I color my hair regularly and thought the foam would be easier. Unfortunately, I found the opposite; it really dripped more. I do not think this is worth the additional money.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about John Frieda Precision Foam Color Precision Foam Colour, 5N Brilliant Brunette Medium Natural Brown, 1 ea: I use salon shampoos and styling products, but I color my hair at home from a box I buy at the store. I have tried other foams, and love the ease they provide. But, I had problems with breakage, drying, and no coverage. I tried the John Frieda line for the first time today.

Comments about John Frieda Precision Foam Color Precision Foam Colour, 5N Brilliant Brunette Medium Natural Brown, 1 ea: Works better than the "other" foam which never did foam at all and was a runny mess on my head. The John Frieda Foam is great; doesn't smell bad and doesn't take a lot of time to cover a lot of gray. I am seeing some gray at the roots at 5 weeks but that might have something to do with the fact I went to the beach for a week right after coloring! I too have used Natural Instincts for many years and love the silkness from that product but it doesn't cover like the John Frieda and in shorter amount of time.

Best Uses Comments about John Frieda Precision Foam Color Precision Foam Colour, 5N Brilliant Brunette Medium Natural Brown, 1 ea: I've been coloring my hair for a long time now and was excited to try the new John Frieda Precision Foam Color. I have little to no gray and my hair is naturally a medium golden brown, so I purchased 5G (Medium Golden Brown). I have been previously coloring my hair with Clairol Natural Instinct in Medium Ash Brown, to tone down the natural reddish highlights in my hair. I should have done the same here---I left on only 25 minutes and it came out DARK CHERRY BROWN (burgundy-ish). It also made my scalp itch during application and now, the next day, my scalp feels a little tender. The color also stained my skin easily, so immediately wipe off if you get it on your skin! I have never had this issue before with any other color and needless to say, am highly disappointed that I spent [$] on it. I have written to John Frieda (Kao Brand) and am hoping to hear a response soon. Use with caution! (If not for the itching/burning/staining, then for the color misrepresentation). I really wanted to like it. I only gave 3 stars because the delivery system was great and application was so easy. Probably won't repurchase.
