All I can say is "no shimmer". The holding power, smell, or control did not interest me, only the shimmer. No shimmer.

This is about the only non-salon product I continue to use year after year. Works as well as high-end products for better value. Fragrance free so no conflict with other fragrances.

This is my favorite hairspray, and I haven't been able to find it in the stores lately. It keeps my hair in place all day without being stiff or sticky. Brushes out instantly. My husband is sensitive (allergic) to a lot of scents/smells. This product is the only one
that doesn't bother him....So that's an additional plus!

I have used this hairspray for years. I have lots of very fine hair that is naturally curly. I can let it dry and then use a little of this to style it, or blow dry my hair into a smoother style and use this to style and set. Mainly, I like it because it doesn't darken my blond-streaked hair, leaving it very shiny, and I love that it doesn't have a heavy sent that makes my eyes water. Also, it's not sticky. I leave a can of it at my hairdressers because I can't stand the spray the salon uses. I wish it came in a travel size.

My hair can be straight, wavy or outright curly on any given day, but this spray adds medium hold, plus shine, no matter what.
The hold is good, IF it's not an excessively humid and/or windy day.
However, if your hair is in a nighttime up-do, or a complicated/ delicate style, & you need super-strong hold, this is probably not your best choice. For casual 'dos, you'll get good hold that also stays very touchable & is never sticky. My hair is long and the "Sheer Blonde" hairspray keeps it bouncy, unlike many of the hairsprays I've tried.
Finally, I know it's supposed to be clear, with no blonde or gold color, but it does seem to bring out highlights in my medium ash-blonde hair!
