I have not noticed a problem with the smell (I am usually sensitive to offensive fragrances) however it does require thorough rinsing to remove after conditioning. Definitely wash face AFTER conditioning to remove from skin. I have purchased more than one bottle, Ive also used the shampoo. Im not sure I really noticed significant lightening, but I whacked all my hair off (midway down my back) and its slowly gone from 1" to 6 inches over the past year.

Who chose this scent?? Unnecessary overwhelmingly strong bad perfume scent. I was extremely allergic to it. It made me lethargic, feel horrible, unable to sleep, my face itched a lot. Lots of hair loss in 1 use, especially in the front of my scalp. I look aged and am going to need a lot of Rogaine now and I'm 28. It made my hair flat on top, thick on the bottom, not brushable, not soft or smoothe, dry and not feel like hair. 1 use and I don't ever want to use it again. I threw it out! It took tons of washings to try to get it out of my hair and to try to get rid of the stinky smell. I would never want to wear that smell in public or around someone else.

Anyone know of an unscented shampoo and conditioner that isn't allergenic?

It is not the heaviest conditioner I've used (a la Pantene) but it is not the lightest (a la Suave). I have brown hair and I used it to lighten hair for the summer. It did lighten it a bit, as I was hoping.. and not wanting to come out of the shower with freakish light hair. It does not smell bad as some people have mentioned, which was one of my bigger fears. Recommended +

This product and the corresponding shampoo have worked wonders on my daughter's naturally blonde hair. She is 7 years old and her blonde hair has slowly been turning an ashy brown over time. I thought that would be the end of her lovely blonde locks but this conditioner and the corresponding shampoo have worked wonders in gently and gradually lightening her hair and bringing out some lovely blonde highlights. We've used it every two days and have used about half the bottle so far with visible results. I don't expect she'll ever be as blonde as the day she was born, but this product definitely lightens and adds highlights. I am also very pleased with the conditioning qualities. She has wavy hair that is thick but dry and fine and very easily weighed down. She needs a good conditioner but not super light and not a really heavy one that will weigh her hair down. This is a perfect medium conditioner that helps detangle and rinses out fairly easily. I do leave it in for several minutes. Her hair is lighter, with lovely highlights and is shiny and full of body. I love this product.

As a conditioner, this product worked very well. If I were buying it just as a conditioner I would have been very happy. Unfortunately, I bought it because I wanted it to lighten my hair, and it did not do this...at all. I have dirty blonde, uncolor-treated hair, so, to the ladies with hair like mine who are considering this product - it's a good conditioner and that is all. The same could be said of the shampoo.

I have been using this conditioner with the "Go Blonder" shampoo for about a week now and I have had dramatic results. My base color, which is naturally a chestnut brown, has lightened up to a dark blond shade. Lots of highlights have been drawn out and I look like I have just spent a summer at the beach! I love my haircolor now and could never have had such a natural-looking, light color from a stylist. My hair is shiny and healthy looking and I receive more compliments on it than I ever have! I will no longer have to go to the colorist to have my base color lightened and will not have to deal with roots anymore. I am hooked!

The product did fine on cleaning but did not lighten as it said it would. Misleading product.
