These pads need to be removed by running warm water over them. . It swells and pulls right off without damaging the new skin below. It's important that you be very careful removing the pad and you'll be pleased with the results.

This is the best bandage I've ever used. It lasts for about 3 days and doesn't come off in water. It protects cuts and sores by sticking tight and keeping dirt and water out. I use it on scratches I get gardening and hiking. My scratches heal faster using this bandage. The bandages are very expensive, but they are worth every penny. I recommend cutting them into the smallest size possible for the wound and save the rest of the bandage for later.

I can't say enough about these bandaids. The only ones we use!! I am forever cutting myself or scrapping the skin (first layer) off my hands or arms. Great just clean wound with water, stop bleeding, and adhere. Leave on for about 1 week and it is completely healed. If the wound is deeper may need to reapply a new bandaid but it is absolutely the best on the market!! I recommend them to all my family and friends.

I've used this product previous for bicycle wrecks [knees and elbow] and within the last year after knee-replacement surgery...my doctor & staff were so amazed at the results I had to give them the empty box as well as the information insert... one other nice thing, is that whenever the healing begins to 'itch', you can gently relieve the itch without disturbing the healing process. Showering without worry is also a godsend.... my son had a cyst removed and you can't hardly see the incision... and yes, I applied Vit. E under and my knee-incision is 99% invisible...

I used to buy the Johnson & Johnson - First Aid Advanced Care, Advanced Healing Adhesive Pads in bulk. I have two active sons who often get scraped knees. We loved these pad with Compeed paper and I heard that motorcycle riders used them for "road burn". These were miracle pads that got a puffy white cushion over the injured skin. We loved the pads.
Fast forward to today. I just placed a new order for these pads from Drugstore.com. They now say "Tough Pads" on the box, not "Advanced Healing". They do not say "Compeed" on the paper, but they looked similar, so I put one on my son. Horror! When I pulled it off after 3 days, it pulled his skin and the new skin off too! My son cried and screamed as I tried to pull it off. I don't know what they did to change these pads, but the new ones are horrible! Beware! I wish J&J would bring back the old Advanced Healing pads. Now I don't know what to buy instead.

These are great for waterproof coverage, as we use them on our commercial fishing boat to cover small cuts and abrasions. I have also used them to cover my Achilles when outdoor running to prevent chaffing.
