I love gently sweet lavendar smells, so this fragrance is right up my alley! It is perfect for an evening bath and relaxes my 2yr. old for bed.

My son has fairly sensitive skin and eczema as well. I bought this on a whim, and wish that I hadn't. While the smell isn't what I remember from years past, it still smells nice and seems to relax my little guy before bed. I take baths with my son in the "big tub" since it allows him more freedom to move around and play then his little baby tub. After a few baths I noticed that his eczema was worse, and my skin (mostly my bum!) was itchy and red as well. I stupidly continued to use this product, checking his skin after words, and noticed it was getting worse after every bath. My skin was itchy and red to the point that I almost went to the doctor. After eliminating things from our diet, the laundry, etc, it came down to this dumb bubble bath. I use fragrance free everything else, and didn't eat anything crazy. It has to be the bubble bath and body wash. The first time I switched back to the Aveeno baby wash, I noticed that his skin improved and that my bum didn't burn! I now have two almost full bottles, big bottles of this stuff. What a waste.

    miss the old smell!

i agree! the old smell was so lovely--very soft, clean, and subtle. why J&J decided to change the scent is beyond me! now, the smell is cloying and cheap. definitely not something i'd want to put on a baby's skin. i really wish J&J would read all of these posts and go back to the old scent!

I am so glad to see that I'm not the only person that noticed and HATES the "new and improved" scent of this product. I used it on my son when he was little, and I absolutely loved it, the smell was incredible. I just had my second child a month ago, and I was so excited to use this on her, and I got a ton of it at my shower, but when I opened it, I was COMPLETELY disappointed. J&J needs to really listen to complaining consumers and go back to the old scent..it was perfect the way it was. I will not use this new product, and I guess I will have to be very stingy with the little bit of the old stuff I have left.

The new scent smells like perfume, not baby wash. I was a loyal user and now am forced to try other brands. Change it back and Ill buy it again.

This product is great. Smell is wonderful!!! Everyone always asks what I use because my son always smells so good from this product. It also moisturizes his skin well. I also use the new cucumber melon product smells great too!! I even use it on myself and since his grandma had to buy it for him at their house they use it to because everyone loves it so much.

Comments about Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath, 15 fl oz:

I really like this. I agree, it has almost no smell (the lotion smells great though) and if you purchase the bedtime wash you can use that in the bath also, so that product is better. However, my daughter LOVED the bubbles it made so it was worth it. And she was very relaxed afterwards, and surprisingly I was too!

Comments about Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath, 15 fl oz:

I like the scent but I think it is a bit too strong for a baby. Plus, my 4 month old son broke out in a rash all over his feet, legs, and back from this product. It also dried out his skin terribly - even after I used the lotion on him. I switched to Aveeno Baby and that seems to work much better.

This new smell is awful. Why would J&J change something some wonderful to this new plastic like smell. I refuse to buy this product unless they return the old scent. This new smell actually gives me a headache.

Comments about Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath, 15 fl oz:

I used to love the old scent. I just bought the new one thinking it was the same... it's not! It smells like the normal bath wash with a flower scent thrown in. The old one actually had lavender (which is a real aromatherapy essence) and it totally got my kids ready for bedtime mode! This new one is so terrible!

My daughter loves this. I'm convinced that it helps calm her down at night and thus helps her sleep longer. She is 6 months old and since we've been using this every night for bath time she has been sleeping through the night! It may be coincidence, but this definitely helps.
