For one process color, this is the absolute best hair color I have tried (by that I mean professional brands, not boxed color kits). Somehow I stumbled on Joico Verocolor (had been using Goldwell Topchic) and I can't believe how great it left my hair. I am covering gray and like a blonde color on my hair - but not too blonde so I don't look washed out. I ordered 8NG (medium blond) and I really thought it would be too dark but went with it anyway. It was the perfect shade (I will have about 5 highlights put in professionally though at $5 a foil-don't want to try that on my own). It was easy to mix, didn't fly all over the bathroom, didn't smell at all, and above all else, there was no lines of demarcation where my new growth met the old growth - and I wasn't all that careful putting it on! It looks just like it did when I spent $90, incl. tip, at the hair salon. So glad I found this stuff. Drugstore.com wasted no time in getting it out too.
