But I was infuriated when they added "light brown" to the dark blond offering. The light brown adds a reddish tone that ruins the dark blond. Plus, the brown component does not age well (turns orange later). This is even worse with the dark blond/light brown hair product.

Because it's a brush-in product, it's easy to apply to the roots, temples, and other gray areas. I have dark brown hair, but was told by my stylist to choose a color a few shades lighter so that it looks more natural. I use either the medium brown or light brown. Because it's meant for hard to color hair like sideburns or moustache, my hair takes the color well. I do leave it on for 10 min. rather than 5 min. It lasts about two weeks. My stylist is amazed how well it looks between semi-permanent color applications; she even recommends it to her other customers.

I started noticing some gray at my temples and thought I would give it a go because it wasn't enough gray hair to buy a whole Clairol Touch Up kit. It worked perfectly.
