I keep my full head of hair fairly short, usually never letting it grow more than 3 inches in length--with a haircut every 6~8 weeks. Have a lot of gray hair but not totally white yet. I apply Just for Men (J4M) Darkest Brown right after getting home from haircut and washing hair first. The coloring begins fading within about 2 weeks (I shampoo my hair everyday). By the 3rd week, the white is starting to noticably come through. By 4th~5th week, white is a lot more apparent. By the time I get another haircut, the J4M coloring is about 50~75% gone. Immediately after haircut and before another coloring, it's sort of traumatic seeing all that gray/white hair again, like watching myself age 30 years in a matter of 6 weeks. I've only used J4M for about 2 years and never used coloring before that. It does the job for awhile. I suppose one day I'll stop using it and just let nature and the hair whitening process take its course (once again) without trying to fight it. But at least for the immediate future, or until my small stockpile of J4M runs out, I'll keep using this product. It's OK. Just wish it lasted a lot longer (or my hair didn't grow so fast).

Good things: Doesn't stain skin like other products. Shower after application leaves no stains in shower.

Husband uses product to dye hair. It's a great product because it is easy and simple to use. Only thing not so great about product is if it splashes on something other than your hair, it is permanently stained.
