As a pre-veterinary student, honestly, we use this to take temperatures (dogs, cats, sheep, goats... everything with a temperature). With animals, you need lube for that. I use it on my own pets when they seem sick but I am not sure whether or not to take them to the vet, the temperature is the quickest way to judge their health. My cat gets in fights, and gets abscesses where she gets bit. We can't always see them before they get really bad and she needs surgery to fix it, but her temperature is a sure sign she has an infection somewhere, and is a great indicator for us to use before it gets to the point of requiring surgery. KY was great when it was the only option, but now that there are so many other, better liquid options (some of them even made by KY) on the market, I don't understand why anyone is still buying this product for personal (as opposed to professional -- yes, ob/gyns still use it for speculum insertion). The texture is gloppy, messy, and unpleasant; the applicator design isn't particularly hygienic, and it leaves a nasty post-intercourse residue that you will want to wash off (not rinse, wash) immediately because it also starts to irritate if you don't. Silicone-based lubricants last longer, are more effective, are just as safe with condoms, and a little bit goes a long, long way. (And this is just my own personal experience, but if you see this product in a man's nightstand, expect him to be behind the curve on a lot of other subjects in this area, too.) Comments about K-Y Jelly, Personal Lubricant, 4 oz: After having used vasoline in my nose to combat dryness, the ear/nose/throat doctor told me that is very dangerous as it is aspirated into the lungs. He recommended KY and I have been very pleased with the results. Have recommended it to others for the same use and all those who tried it liked it very much. So it does have multiple uses. Pros

Comments about K-Y Jelly, Personal Lubricant, 4 oz: As a sexual lubricant, I've found this to be less than ideal. It dries fairly quickly and gets STICKY. It also contains glycerin, which is a sugar, and as such, isn't the most healthy option for sensitive lady-parts. I've never gotten a full on yeast infection myself, but that may be because I'm sure to wash before anything can start. It dries into a thick, sticky mess that leaves an irritating residue even after wiping it off and makes me feel unclean. Pros

Best Uses Comments about K-Y Jelly, Personal Lubricant, 4 oz: This was a good one but like many other products it gets sticky about 5 mins into use and then it gets sticky all over your hands your best bet would be to have a damp towel near by to wipe off your hands Pros
