Bought this blender because it was recommended in Cook's Illustrated. Was supposed to have a great blade, which I guess it does. But when I went to make my protein drink, I had to run it until it smelled like the motor was burning to break down the frozen ingredients. Worst of all, is the sealing ring. It is thick and twists instead of lying flat on the surface. You have to wrestle it into place and hope it doesn't pop up before you can screw everything together. Because of its uneveness, it is hard to get the jar on just right and it ended up leaking the first couple times.
I'm not happy about this purchase.

Great blender. Powerful, the top/lid seals amazingly well and has ridges to prevent overflow. Glass container pours well, not much dripping. I've gone through a lot of much more expensive blenders and this one performs and looks the best so far!
