I apply it directly on my canker sore and it just numb the pain for awhile. It didnt make my white sore go away and was not effective like the other patch I've used. No matter how many times I tried it, it was ineeffective on my canker sore.

I use Kanka all the time whenever I accidentally cut my gum from brushing my teeth or develop canker sores. In the past, I normally used Ambasol, but it wore off too quickly to be useful when eating to avoid pain. I switched to Kanka and it was a good choice. The numbing sensation lasts longer and the liquid develops a thin layer on top of the sore to slightly protect it. The only issue I have is that the applicator stick is difficult to use even with the new improved version. I recommend that you just use a toothpick and dip it in the bottle.

If you let any of the liquid drop on the sink, then wipe it immediately. It becomes really hard to clean off the surface when it dries. Also try to spit out as much saliva from your month before applying. The medication might run off from the canker sore spot into other parts of your mouth. Therefore you'll have numbing in different parts of the mouth,

I get one canker sore once a year in the same area and this stuff WORKS to treat it. It tastes bad and you have to endure about 10 seconds of a stinging sensation but it is so worth it for the pain relief you get and the healing that occurs. Before I could barely eat and my ear was affectedby the pain, but within about 3 minutes of putting this stuff on, I could eat and my ear felt fine. Thank you so much to Blistex for creating this product. Now we just need a preventative for this silly mouth sores so none of us have this pain ever again!

I would not use this product. i got 2nd degree chemical burns and huge swollen lips. so far ive been to the ER twice. BE AWARE.

This worked well in covering up cracked dry areas on my lip. My lips tend to get dry and sometimes without thinking about it I start biting my lip. I of course try not to do it, and this works well at covering sore areas when they are really bothering me.

This works great for canker sores. I also used for a sore tooth while on vacation till I could get to a dentist when I went back home.You need to wipe applicator on edge of container so you don't get too much, otherwise you will be numbing more area then you want.

OK, I just used this for the first time and it is great. When I got to the drug store I was totally overwhelmed on which medicine to buy for a canker sore that is driving me nuts with discomfort. The thing that really made me grab the Kanka was that it had an applicator unlike all the others. They are either liquid or gel and do not have the applicator. It does stink for about 3 seconds and then leaves a protective coating not nearly as messy as the others out there. Great, great stuff.
