Indications
Kelo Cote® is intended for the management of old and new scars, including hypertrophic and keloid scars, resulting from surgery , trauma, wounds and burns.
For painful, sensitive, hard-to-reach or widespread scars, touch-free Kelo-cote® Spray is also available.
For prevention of abnormal scars, use as soon as the wound is closed of sutures are removed. Kelo-cote® is suitable for use on children or people sensitive skin. This 10g tube is enough for 90 days effective treatment of a scare size 3-4 inches/7.5-10cm.
Warnings
Avoid direct contact with eyes, mucus membranes, third degree burns and open wounds. Kelo-cote® should not be used on dermatological conditions that disrupt the integrity of the skin. I bought this for use on my 2 year old son who had a big scar on his forehead from hitting his head on the corner of a table. The ER used glue on the gash and he had a pink lumpy scar. Within a few days of using this the scar became totally flat and is no longer a bump. It's a little less pink and has faded a bit but seems to not be changing any further. I've only been using this product for about 2 weeks though so it might take more time. I use a small amount twice per day. It dries quickly and has no odor.
Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. Apply Kelo-cote® twice daily to the area as a very thin coat and allow to dry. Once dry, Kelo-cote® can be covered with cosmetics or sunscreen. Recommended duration of treatment is 60-90 days.
