Recommended Uses A secondary layer for minor wounds, cuts and scrapes.
Directions
- Apply bandage roll directly to wound or use to secure first layer.
- Bandage should be rolled on without tension. Do not apply with tension as excess constriction may result.
- Begin by wrapping around body part and repeat.
- Overlap previous area by one half;f to one-third of its width, and smooth after each turn.
- Finished wrap should be firm but not so tight that there is discomfort. Start over and re-apply if it feels right or uncomfortable.
- Apply tape to secure dressing.
General Wound Care
Clean: Wash hands. Gently cleanse wound area with mild soap and water or commercially prepared wound cleanser like Kendall Constant-Clens Dermal Wound Cleanser. Pat dry with sterile Kendall gauze pads.
Cover: Apply primary layer dressing (Kerlex®)on wound for protection. Apply secondary layer for absorption and wound cushioning.
Secure: Tape the insides of secondary layer to secure.
Important: Change dressing daily or as needed to keep dry, or as directed by a physician or nurse. Consult a physician in case of severe or deep puncture wounds, serious burns, redness, excessive swelling, tenderness, increased warmth, pus or watery discharge or any other signs of infection in wound area. |
