To Install: Note: A minimum of two strap assemblies per piece of furniture is required. For furniture 4' or wider and for tall and/or heavy furniture, additional straps are recommended.
For furniture with particleboard or thin plywood type packing, brackets must be screwed into solid top or back brace. When placing screws into dressers, check to make certain they will not interfere with normal function of top drawer.
With furniture in place, locate wall studs behind it. Always use studs for installation and mount each strap to a separate stud. Mark stud locations on wall and corresponding locations at top of furniture back. Mark furniture height on wall. Move furniture away from wall.
Position wall bracket (with screw holes facing down) on stud about 6" below furniture top. Mark and drill pilot holes. Screw holes used will depend on furniture and stud location. Extra holes are provided but a minimum of 2 screws per bracket must be uses. Screw wall bracket into stud using 1 1/2" screws. Repeat of second or any additional wall brackets.
Locate stud marks on furniture top from Step 1. Position furniture bracket (with screw holes facing up). Mark and drill pilot holes so bracket is aligned with previous marks. Screw bracket into furniture using a minimum of two 1" screws. Repeat for second or any additional furniture brackets.
Slide furniture back into position and pull strap on wall bracket until all slack is eliminated. Do this for all straps.
To Remove: Straps are easily removed to relocate furniture. Simply unhook strap from furniture bracket. If necessary, slack can be achieved, before removal, by pushing strap through hook of wall bracket.
