Comments about KINeSYS Sunscreen Ointment with Pure Zinc Oxide:
Firstly, it is an ointment, and applies like an ointment. I like it, it feels very light once on (though it does make my face shiny). Even though the container is small, I think it will last a while. It smells a bit like natural bug repellent (nice smell, but different, i suppose) or vicks rub. If you are sensitive to smells, it may not be right for you; also, if you want to use it for all over body coverage, as you sort of have to wipe it then rub it in pretty well; seems like the quantity and texture would be better for face/neck/arms at the most.
I have very irritatable skin, ad this stuff does seem to cause a very subtle redness and extremely mild bumpy-ness (both of these things my boyfriend said he couldn't see), so I would recommend it to a friend, who I know has less sensitive skin than me (almost all of them), and maybe also who has a bit more money to spend on these things.
Considering how few all natural products there are with such low EWG ratings (1), I'm okay with the purchase, and will use it, though probably look a bit harder for another low toxicity sunscreen to try thats a bit cheaper next time.
