Even with a blade that already had at least 6 shaves on it, I still wound up with the closest and most comfortable shave I ever had and my beard is very tough! I cannot say enough of how pleased and surprised I was. No more foamy lathers and gels for me. Like I said, I originally bought for a trip but I use it every day now. I did find that following the instructions carefully makes a difference. I now shave in the shower. Soaking the beard before hand helps tremedously. No mess, no fuss. Unfortunately, the product inside does not perform as well. The oil caused bad breakouts - the ones you had in high school. Must clog pores or something (did not clog the razor). I have tried other oil shave products that did not have this effect on my skin. King of Shaves gel products work fine for me. King of Shaves came through. Starting with the oil allows my beard to soften so thatthe razor has a chance at short, thick whiskers. I then apply the menthol gel to cool the skin and avoid irritation. The Gillette Fusion razor does the rest. An after shaving balm removes any redness. No more creams or gels for me. I use this by itself and it gives an incredibly close shave with no irritation. Not greasy at all, although it does leave your face feeling moisturized (in a good way). Great stuff and it does last a long time. I use two pumps a shave and it lasts well over two months a bottle. I rarely take the time to write a review about a product. This product is definitely an exception. As long as they continue to make it, I'll be using this for the rest of my life. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
