Very gentle; very effective!
After trying a number of store-brand/generic St. John's Wort, on my doctor's recommendation, I tried Kira St. John's Wort. The difference is remarkable!

The store-brand St. John's Wort usually worked, but like a sledgehammer. I would often get that "beaten-up" feeling while taking the cheaper brands. They tended to put me on a rollercoaster of emotions. They also tended to be a bit caustic on the throat and stomach.
The Kira brand of St. John's Wort is more like someone gently holding your hand and guiding you, slowly but surely, towards feeling much better. It is gentle to take and gentle on the digestive system.
Words alone are not adequate to express just how much improvement and relief I have found with this brand of St. John's Wort.

For me, this product is an excellent substitute for doctor-prescribed anti-depressants. It worked almost immediately and enabled me to maintain my composure during family visits, following the deaths of two family members. I will be a strong proponent of Kira St. John's Wort for anyone I know who is grieving or experiencing some depression.

I was grieving and depressed over the recent loss of two members of my immediate family; and had to go on a trip where I'd be visiting other family. Unable to converse without crying, and not wishing to take prescription anti-depressants, I turned to Kira St. John's Wort in the hope this would get me through our visits. I received the Kira tablets only a couple of days prior to our trip; and they worked! I took 2 or 3 a day over the course of the trip; and managed to remain calm while socializing -- and no tears. I am exceedingly grateful to have found this product.

I am usually a happy person but have had the most difficult year of my life. I did not want to take a prescription anti-depressant.This supposedly takes two weeks to kick in;I would say it took less time for me.I feel much better.This is not habit forming and meant for short term usage.However,there are people who take it all of the time with no ill effect.

I started using a generic St. John's Wort after finding that prescription anti-depressants were much too strong for me. The generic worked for a while but seemed to be less effective as I got to the bottom of the bottle. I was up to 3 pills a day.
With the Kira St. John's Wort, I take one in the morning and don't need to take another. It's worth paying a little extra for these individually-sealed tablets.

I have never taken an anti-depressant always using exercise,work,food,alcohol to treat what seemed like some mild depression.This year something major happened paired with a severe and prolonged Hive attack.I was reading a novel and one of the characters got Hives.This was prescribed along with a few other things.Not only are the Hives completely in control but I feel much sunnier.Not in a strange monotone sort of way,but good with normal mood adjustments.

After trying so many supplements, prescribed medications, and other methods, I keep coming back to Kira. For many years I've dealt with mild to moderate anxiety and depression that would come and go. Prescription medications always caused more problems than they'd treat. I am very sensitive to the side effects and could never stay on any of them and I have yet to notice any side effects from Kira. I am a medical professional by trade, but now a full time mom and wife, and for a long time, I was resistant to accept that a natural supplement could be so effective (as most practitioners are). I feel so strongly about the effectiveness of Kira FOR ME (it may or may not work for others) that it has changed my view completely. I use it (3 daily) in combination with Omega 3 Fish Oil daily and a quality multivitamin. I recommend this product highly to many of my friends who are struggling with the side effects of prescription SSRIS, SNRIs, etc. as a different option worth trying. If you're reading this, you're probably considering giving it a try. I'd say, "Go for it"! (just please note that it CAN interact with other medications, so do your homework if you take anything else!)

This is a really awesome natural equal to prozac. The only problem I have had is I moved and lost my box and had a big mood dip, so do not let your supply run out!!!!!!!!! Also, I have read that it can affect male fertility while taking you might want to research that if you are a man planning to procreate on it.

After a decade of trying Prozac, then Paxil, then store-brand St. John's Wort for anxiety and some depression, I finally found something that works well: Kira St. John's Wort. After 6 weeks of using it, as directed on the package (3 times/day), I am as pleased as could be at how gentle, effective and smooth this natural herb works at settling the anxiety and easing the grip of depression. It starts to work almost from the beginning, and reaches it's full effect after around 3 or 4 weeks. I have not observed a single side-effect so far! (What a difference from drugs like Prozac or Paxil!)
