It's hard to find a soap with just a few, easy to read ingredients. We use to use a clear, glycerin soap, but haven't been able to find it for a while. This soap is a decent alternative.

Most natural/green soaps are expensive. This one has been around a long time. Works great for a great price.

I make laundry soap with 3 grated 4 ounce Kirks bars, add a box of Borax, Box of Biz, 4 lb box of Arm&hammer Washing Soda, 2 cups Baking soda. Blend in a large container, add Purex Crystals to create more scent. Use 1/2 cup reg washer, 2 tbsp in a high efficiency machine. My family has used Kirks Castile Soap over 125 years. Gentle enough for baby and grandma. Can be used to wash dishes or as shampoo and it smells wonderful. I make this laundry soap because it works. And now all my friends and neighbors do. I use white vinegar as a fabric softener.

THIS SOAP WAS AMAZING 40 YEARS AGO AND IS STILL AMAZING TODAY!!! SO GLAD THAT I WAS ABLE TO FIND IT!! THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE CHAINS NO LONGER CARRY IT. THINK I WILL ORDER ANOTHER CASE!!

This is the best natural soap. They don't charge you a fortune for it and it works so well for so many different things. I melt it into water and use it for liquid hand soap and dishwashing soap. I grate it, mix it with super washing soda and borax and use it for my laundry.

I shower with Kirk's and love the way it lathers. First time users be aware it is closer to Gramma Lye soap than Dove. At first you may think it is too harsh but just the opposite is true. It is what soap was originally designed to do. Clean you! Washing your face with Kirk's will clear up most normal acne if you lather up and let stand for 30 seconds. It will clean out those pours and thats that. I has turned alot of people onto this product and they have trouble finding it...Drugstore.com

Bought this on a whim and I'm glad I did. Eliminates the need for body & face soap, plus doesn't dry out my skin and leave a nasty residue. Did I mention the price point is awesome!!

Me,Hubby and Son use this line of soaps and shampoo.
Hubby likes it because it doesn't smell girly.
I like it because it is clean and fresh smelling,seems like a light not heavy fragrance.
It seems to lather & rinse well.No problems with being allegic to it so far and have been using it for nearly a year.
