I don't get any breakouts and my hair is left clean, without buildup. A little of this goes a long way! I've been working on a bottle for almost a year, and I've got super-long hair down my back. This doesn't provide any conditioning benefits, so I follow with a light conditioner. It's not really an offensive smell, but I don't have good associations with the fragrance. It cleans like any old castile soap but has enough moisturizers in it to keep it from completely drying out my hair like straight Dr. Bronner's might. I'd recommend a good conditioner with it, though, to keep it from being too drying. REVIEWS Reviewed by 18 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about Kirk's Original Coco Castile Shampoo, 16 fl oz: I switched to natural shampoos about 4 years ago, and I have literally tried maybe 100. This one is my favorite. It cleans so well, and I never end up with greasy scalp or oily-looking hair like I do with so many of the natural shampoos. It really cleans well!

Comments about Kirk's Original Coco Castile Shampoo, 16 fl oz: Green, Non-Toxic, Inexpensive & Safe product that can be used by everyone in the family!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Kirk's Original Coco Castile Shampoo, 16 fl oz: I love this shampoo because it makes my hair so clean and soft and doesn't make my scalp itch like most others do. Having had skin cancer in the past I am very choosy about what products I use and this one gets top marks. And a little goes a long way - you only need a tiny bit for great lather. Also, made in America!

Comments about Kirk's Original Coco Castile Shampoo, 16 fl oz: This is the first shampoo I have ever used that when I rinsed it out, I could easily run my fingers right through my hair--and that's before conditioning. Awesome!
