This is the first time I've used natural deodorant. I was very skeptical as I've heard bad things in general, but I'm definitely trying to use less chemicals on/in my body. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this stuff. I thought that I'd just use this day to day, but keep my "regular" deodorant for athletic use. However, I've used this stuff on a long bike ride in the VERY hot sun, and it performed much better than any other deodorants I've ever used. I've also tried this when running, and it worked well too. For the past couple of weeks that I've been using this, I'll often do a "sniff check" and it just smells like nothing. No BO....even after exercise! I will definitely be buying the normal sized version of this. Keep in mind that this is a deodorant and not an anti-antiperspirant. But our bodies were meant to sweat, right? If you're skeptical, just try the 1 oz version...it's pretty cheap and you can always order the bigger size later. It worked well. Over time, the crystal lost its smoothness and needed replacing. The Kiss My Face roll-on is better because it does not require any wetting. I chose this deodarant because it will not stain my shirts like Right Guard anti-perspirant does over time. Wow, it's a serious throwback to the '60's.... and not in a good way. Just be sure you check what fragrance you're getting. It's great for you since it doesn't contain harmful ingredients like anti-perspirants do, and it lasts all day! Even when I've been outside for hours it keeps on working. I am avoiding Antiperspirants as I worry about the long term consequences of the ingredients. I carry a container of Kiss My Face Deodorant in my bag and re-apply as necessary throughout the day when I re-apply my cosmetics. It doesn't last all day- I would re-apply it when I get home from work if I had a companion!! But it won't cause cancer and works for 8 hours or so.
