Dogs definitely prefer these over the non-squeak tennis balls. They last a long time with our terriers, but the beagles drool and chew destroy them fairly quickly. Good price on these at drugstore.com

My dog loves to "hunt" for and chew/squeak his ball. Favorite toy indoors and out. He's a 1 yo golden and mouthing anything is a must. This is great, never bored with it and hold up well so far, but he is not one to tear of the "skin" on tennis balls.

I continue to purchase these balls. My dogs love to carry two of them in their mouths. They love these balls, they've become very independent and go and find these balls and play by themselves. Perfect for any bored dog that has behavioral problems by tearing up the house. Buy several of these balls and your problems are solved!!!

These balls are great if yoiu want your animal to get exercise but once they try to eat it - they come apart rather erasily. Do not leave your dog alone with the balls.

And the winner is...Miniature Dachshund, Luke!!!

My miniature dachshund, Luke (b. 04/20/08) is a "chewer extraordinaire." Whatever he is given, Luke makes it his mission to destruct and destroy as quickly as possible. Pet stuffed toys are dismembered, and anything that can be chewed off a toy, will be chewed off said toy.

I thought that perhaps it would take him longer to chew off the outer (fuzzy) layer of the Kong Air Dog, but I was (sadly)mistaken.

Within ten minutes, Luke had made his way through the outer layer, and I had to take the ball away from him temporarily. I picked up the fuzzy mess that he made, and trimmed the fuzzy ends from the "bald spot" on the Kong Air Dog toy.

Use this only with supervision (should go without saying for any pet toy.)

I think this is suitable for a small to medium sized dog. It might be a choking hazard to a larger-sized dog (e.g. over 50 pounds.)

However, since I already knew Luke's propensity to destroy his toys, I had no expection that the Kong Air Dog would hold up any better.

On the plus side, Luke adores chewing so much that he quite effectively removes the tartar from his teeth. Luke's teeth are bright and shiney, his gums healthy, and his doggy-breath is pleasant!

So, chew away, my little Luke!

My 2 year old Golden Retriever loves to chew and carry things in his mouth. He likes tennis balls, but he loves these because of the squeeker! I've ordered these twice. He does chew off the cover of the ball but most of the time the squeeker still works. These are his favorite toy.

My dog loved the fact that the ball was squeezable and squeaked. However, the squeaker broke after an hour of play. the ball was still usable and the furry covering didn't come off like other tennis balls.
