This is probably one of the only brands of tampons that actually makes me feel completely secure, without worrying about leaks. I had previously used Playtex tampons, but realized that I almost always experienced leakage on heavy days. Not so with Kotex. I feel comfortable and free to move around- which is why I use tampons in the first place. The design of the applicator makes insertion very easy- it is a plunger-type applicator, so there is no need to fumble around to get the right grip (I did sometimes have this issue with Playtex or tampax cardboard tampons). I also like how Kotex has started using a softer cotton material. As for protection, the tampon itself expands effectively, which is why I hardly ever experience leaks, even on heavy days. I do wish these tampons were a little more narrow and discrete, as they tend to take up space in my purse (especially the super ones). But for such an effective tampon, it's hardly an issue. I could barley feel it when it was in and the string was nice and long, so removal was easy. ,y one thing is that when I wast swimming and it was wavy, I did get a little discharge in my swim suit. Nether the less, I love these and will use them a hundred times over! Pros
