Its only potential negative is that it can be difficult to read... but only from an up or down angle. If you place it high on a wall, shorter persons in the home will not be able to read it... but if you place it on a desk or counter top, everyone will be able to see it. (but it really is a non-issue and the disply is designed to use minimal energy so that the batteries can last a long time.)

If you have 3 exterior Weather stations, each interanl receiver can monitor all 3-exterior stations. I am disappointed that the exterior monitors do not display tempature and humidity readings on the monitor like other less-expensive models.

I have 3 of these in my home and purchase them for gifts on a regular basis.

The first time we set up this station, the base and the sensor were 10 feet from each other, yet they indicated different temperatures in the same room. The next day, the base wasn't picking up the sensor at all, so we had to take out the batteries completely to restart both units. On the third day, the base display was nothing but nonsense.

Tech support from La Crosse was incredibly slow - you can't talk to anyone, you leave a message and they call you back in 3-5 days! When someone finally helped us, they first asked if the batteries had an expiration date of 6 years from now (ours were new, so yes). They then suggested taking the batteries out for 30 minutes, then pressing the base buttons 20 times, then replacing the batteries. The units now work, although the temperatures are still a degree or two off of the actual temperatures. La Crosse considers that acceptable.

This is the ideal device for remote monitoring, it is nice to look over and see that all is well in our wine room. Add to that ability to confirm inside and outside temps/humidity and you have it all. Great little device.

I think it is a great item, the only thing drugstore.com needs to do is make the additional sensors available. I added 2 more sensors, now I monitor the indoor temperature, the greenhouse, outside temp in the sun, and outside temp in the shade on our front porch to see if its a good day to sit out and sip tea and enjoy the outdoors.
It doesn't have indoor humidity, but that was not something I was looking for, Outdoor I needed, and it has it.
Adding the additional sensors does take some patience, but the result is well worth it.

I use the unit to see what the outside temperature & humidity is so I know what to wear when getting dressed. Things I like is the sensor and display can be moved to different locations. The instructions need to be in larger print and highlight that you need to perform the in house set up (probably for calibration). As you are tempted to install batteries and quickly place the sensor outside to see if it works.

Most wireless themometers transmit only 80 feet. This model transmits up to 330 feet.

Used in remote greenhouse. Extended 330 foot range for temp & humidity is definite plus. S/H too high!

I was looking for a wireless remote sensor to monitor the temperature inside my attic. This unit was easy to set up and works great, plus it also monitors the humidity. I am glad that I purchased it and recommend it.
