Anthekios SX helps provide protection from UVA rays. How does Mexoryl™ SX (ecamsule) protect skin from UVA rays? Parsol® 1789 (avobenzone) is very effective at the midpoint of the UVA spectrum, but provides less protection against short UVA wavelengths. Mexoryl™ SX (ecamsule) provides peak efficacy against these short UVA rays. The combination of Parsol® 1789 (avobenzone) and Mexoryl™ SX (ecamsule) helps provide UVA protection.

Indications

Warnings
For external use only. Do not use on broken skin, serious burns. When using this product keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash or irritation develops and lasts. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. and wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor. For use on skin only.

by FAR the best sunblock/daily moisturizer I have ever used! I'm ridiculously meticulous/picky about skin products and happen to be an MD (though not in dermatology). I can't tell you how many sunblocks I have tried - basically all of them! Titianium dioxide and zinc are things of the past, and Mexoryl is where it's at. The chair of dermatology at my hospital (who's a big shot in the field of derm) and all the newest research shows the superiority of Mexoryl. Why don't more companies actually look at the scientific data and start making sunblock with Mexoryl? It goes on so easily, dries clear, doesn't sting the eyes, has no odor (by that, I mean it REALLY doesn't have ANY smell as opposed to that weird, sterile smell that's still bothersome). By even looking at the product, you can tell that this company puts their money into research and making it the best quality instead of fancy packaging or marketing/advertisement. Worth every penny even on a tight budget. I never bother to write a review on products, but I had to for this one. HUGE kudos to the makers of this product!!! I can't say enough good things about it.

I have been using this moisturizer daily for several years. It is light and not greasy. I originally bought this brand for the sunscreen and I had researched moisturizers that I thought would be best for me. I have been so pleased with the performance of this and all La Roche-Posay products I use. I do not think there is a better buy out there!

I've been using this product for years and love that it is a truly full-spectrum sunblock that can also double as a moisturizer. I wish that there was a 'winter' version that was a little heavier on the moisturizing side, but for 3/4 of the year it's just perfect!

I use it on top of my morning moisturizer and have found that it provides additional moisture as well as great sunscreen. Sun spots on my face & neck have begun to fade or vanish entirely. No smell, no stinging.

I love this sunscreen, and although I think 15 SPF is enough, I didn't see a higher SPF available online...maybe I just missed it. Regardless, I love LaRoche Posay!!!

So happy I can buy this product here in the U.S. I have used it for many years but first had to buy from France. Recently a professional skin care specialist informed me it lasted longer than any other sun screen - 5 hours!
I am 75 years old and looking pretty darn good so I have been told.

I use this as my daily moisturizer. I've read countless times that the most important day treatment for skin is sun protection, and this offers full spectrum protection. But for me, I also need some moisture for my skin. Just wearing regular sunscreen won't do it for me. This is moisturizing, protects my skin, has no odor, dries quickly, isn't greasy. I'm on my second bottle and will be buying some for my sisters and mom this christmas.

I have really sensitive skin and this product is rich and thick, but doesn't trigger any acne or other negative reactions. It makes your face feel hydrated, youthful, and make-up-ready. There is no greasiness with it, even in the T-zone. I love it. It's my daily moisturizer. My face looks forward to it.

I purchased this sunscreen after reading rave reviews from dermatologists and scientists alike about Mexoryl's superior protection against UVA rays. Unfortunately for me, my skin broke out horribly after using this product - I had to stop using it after a week because my once mild acne spiraled out of control.
In my opinion it's a bad idea to combine a sunscreen with a moisturizer unless you have incredibly dry skin. If you're using sunscreen properly, which means that you're reapplying it every 2 hours, it's unlikely that you'd need such a large amount of moisturizer each day. Using this product several times a day may have been too much for my skin.
That being said, I would hope that the people who gave this product positive reviews applied their sunscreen throughout the day and not just once in the morning - this product is an all-day moisturizer, NOT an all-day sunscreen.
