I'm very pleased with this. I'm 53 with oily skin and occassional breakouts. I use this once a day. Slightly drying, but so far it's kept me blemish free. Products with salicylic acid have not been effective for me in preventing breakouts. This one works.

Suffering with moderate acne until my mid 30s, I am no stranger to acne products. I had a few years reprieve, but a month after turning 40, I began breaking out with the worst breakouts I'd ever had. The pimples were large and painful, some deep and cystic, some filled with pus close to the surface. I was using a salicylic based cleanser, and Aveda exfoliant toner and Purifying mask, but my face was getting more and more sensitive with every treatment. In two days of washing with a La Roche cream cleanser and treating twice a day with Duo, the cysts are gone. The redness is gone. I have a few clogged pores left, they are not inflamed or painful at all, and they are shrinking. I have no dryness or sensitivity. I am floored. Salicylic acid creams don't touch my acne, and in the past, I have used budget friendly benzoyl peroxide products from time to time (think Stridex, etc.)But I have never had results like this. This product is worth the extra $. I cannot rave about it enough!

I've made this product a regular part of my regimen. I apply at night to any problem areas on my face and in the morning my (cystic) adult acne is considerably diminished or gone. I have acne all my life, from teens to my 30s currently. My skin clears up while I was taking birth control pills. When I get off of it, the acne flares up everywhere whenever and worse during the the winter months in MN. I've used a few Rx topical lotions and creams prescribed from my derm Dr but non really works effectively and satisfactorily. I'm very patient at giving products time to work and hoping to see results. But non from my experience have I've experience visible results in 4 days so far from using this product and line. Waking up the from the first night of application, many acne dried up and ready to flake away. Second morning, many whiteheads & blackheads are disappearing. Third morning, my skin is still pink and sensitive (which I'm used to from other previous products as well so I'm in no shock) from the application but no irritation whatsoever. Skin is noticably smooth, very few bumps. 4th morning, still pink but smoother skin with some skin flaking off. I'm currently on my 4th day as I'm writing this. It treats as described and it works very well for my skin so far. Love the result I'm seeing.

Simply the best non-prescription acne treatment I've found for my moderate acne prone, hormonal skin & enlarged pores.
For a month, my skin was very problematic & my entire chin was covered in painful cystic acne. I found out that the olive oil in an expensive cream I'd been using was the culprit. The effaclar duo cleared it all up within a few days. My skin stayed clear even during that time of the month!
I've been using it for 8 months, still on the first tube. I use the smallest amount as a spot treatment in my acne-prone areas (for me, everywhere but cheeks) mostly as preventive measure since I now rarely get any blemishes. It also doesn't dry me out.

Worked for me - had 4 large cyst's and multiple other breakouts and used this in combination with DiaMedic Ceravitae Serum for Ulcerated & Slow Healing Skin and my face cleared up quickly, didn't leave any scars, and has been preventing new stuff from popping up - haven't used it long but it worked fast!!

I am 62 and am combatting both breakout and wrinkles. Over the past 7-8 months, I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on adult anti-acne treatments and had minimal results. Either the product didn't work very well or they made my skin WORSE. This product was mentioned in Allure magazine, and I thought, what the heck, I can always return it; however, after only 1 application at bedtime, I got up the next a.m. and, unbelievably, almost every breakout was gone!!!! I use it at night over most of my face and during the day, only on those areas that seem prone to always erupt. This is the first time in all these months that my skin is consistently clear. I am able to use an anti-aging moisturizer on top of this product at night with no problems. Ironically enough, this was one of the least expensive products that I'd purchased but the only one I had really great results from.

I get cystic breakouts about one a month,sometimes a little more. I use Retin-A every night, but that doesn't stop the hormonal acne. The Dual-Action Acne treatment soothes and shrinks cysts overnight and they clear up in a couple of days with no marks left on my skin. I'm very very pleased with this. It's the best non-prescription medication I've used in 25 years+ of battling breakouts.

I used the product daily, at least 2-3x per day. The texture was smooth, non greasy and blended easy.
I noticed that I started to get an increase in break outs instead of less. I continued to use the cream in the hopes that this was normal, but I am still waiting. Sometimes I have to add a stronger product to help which costed 1/8th of the Roche Posay.

Service and delivery comments:

Customer Service was great! My product was lost in the mail, and they replaced it after the waiting period.
I was waiting to try Roche Posay forever after reading an article online about how great it was supposed to be. Too bad that I was disappointed. Next time I have to try something a little stronger.
