My dermatologist prescribed a RX product to lighten my freckles before my 2011 wedding. i had a reaction to the preservatives in that product & broke out like crazy. She really is a fan of the Kojic acid in this product & recommended that I try this. Thus far - no breakouts! She also said that there is no worry about long-term use with this product (as opposed to other RX products) - but it does take LONGER to notice an effect. So have patience! I've only been on it for a week or so - but the fact that I have no adverse reaction is a plus already! Cheaper than the RX product too.
