Lac-hydrin was recommended for skin affected by Lymphedema. I also read the advice of another reviewer, ToriJoRo, who's uses it on her face. She's over 70 and has no wrinkles!

After using MANY products over the years, some expensive department store, some drugstore, this is the only thing, besides face wash, that I use anymore. I have oily (t-zone), flaky, skin that is starting to show some fine lines and congested pores. Anytime I used products with salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or any retinoid, I would get this peely, flaking skin. Which was worse, clogged pores, or flakes? UGH! I tried Lac-hydrin on my face. Wow. Not only is it not smelly, it has refined my skin. I don't use an exfoliater or moisturizer anymore. No need. I use a sensitive skin wash and Lac-hydrin...sparingly. Also use it for body lotion. My skin is normalized, flake free, less bumpy (KP)and the fine lines are much less noticible. Nothing fancy. No flashy packaging, no fragranc-y smell, no high price tag..it just works! YAY!

I get cracks on my finger tips especially in the winter. I try to wear vinyl gloves with antibiotic and lotion underneath at night and also try to wear these gloves during the day as often as possible. I was really hopeful that this lotion would really heal my cracked, split finger tips, especially since my doctor recommended LacHydrin. In my opinion, it is good for an overall lotion, not greasy, doesn't smell, and does seem to prevent some future cracks and splits, but not really anymore than your other quality lotion. I have been using for almost 2 weeks and STILL have a 1/2 inch dryness crack/split in my thumb tip that keeps opening up after seeming like it is going to heal. I also have been getting more splits and cracks while using the lotion.

Everyone's body is different, so what may or may not work for me my work great or not so great for you. It is worth a try in my opinion.

Thirty yrs ago my elbows & feet began to crack badly with what my dr. described as Exema(sp). She produced a bottle of this product and rubbed some on my elbows & feet. That same day I purchased my own bottle. I have used this product ever since. I use it on my face, arms and legs after a shower, as well as on my elbows and feet. My skin is as smooth as a baby's hind end. There have been times I've slacked off & the the cracking begins to return. From using it on my face, I have no wrinkles, and I'm 72. People are genuinely shocked to learn my real age. I have always assumed the effect was "just me"; otherwise, the whole world would know about it and it would be very costly while at the same time making somebody a billionaire. I am surprised to learn of so many others pleased with this product. I don't know what magic is contained in this product, and quite honestly, I'm afraid to find out. I see that it is almost out of stock at many locations. Does this mean it will soon be no longer produced? Does anyone know? I sure hope not.

I have only been using this moisturizer for just over a week and notice the red bumps on my upper arms are a lot less noticeable. I only use it on my upper arms and use my Aveeno everywhere else.
Smell is not horrible like other lactin moisturizers and I do have a strong sense of smell.

No complaints about this product. Will purchase again. Goes on smoothly,dries quickly, non-fragrant, so it doesn't clash with perfumes. Exfoliates well.

It's way much better than Amlactin. I tried both, this one is absorbed instantly and doesn't have a smell AT ALL so you can actually wear your own perfume and don't feel like you smell like medicine ! However I got LAcHyrdin for my KP and well let's just say it's ok. My KP is not gone but at least feels smooth...
