It's way much better than Amlactin. I tried both, this one is absorbed instantly and doesn't have a smell AT ALL so you can actually wear your own perfume and don't feel like you smell like medicine ! However I got LAcHyrdin for my KP and well let's just say it's ok. My KP is not gone but at least feels smooth...

I got this lotion to try with the KP DermaDoc scrub. I use it after I use the scrub and shower. It works really well. There isn't any real scent to it (it smells like lotion, but very lightly). I like that it absorbs really well and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy.

This is a basic alpha hydroxy lotion. It does a good job smoothing out your skin. Nothing fancy. But it works. I don't think the smell is bad at all, as some have commented. And i'm sensitive to scents.

I love this lotion, I've only been using it for a week but I am a big product junkie and I've used tons of lotions and I am very picky about results. I always have dry skin, and I suffer from KP but I mainly bought it because I became pregnant and with the combination of winter time it really affected my skin. I started getting cracks all over my hands and my sides burned every time I put any kind of lotion on. I am very picky about how lotions go on. I'll test on my hands first if it goes on and is greasy but yet the dry spots in between my thumbs are still dry then I don't bother using it on my body. Eucerin products always leave the dry spots and grease behind.

Anyway, I used this on my hands and within two days the bleeding cracks were gone. And I only used it once a day as opposed to other lotions that I was using every time I washed them. It works great on my body too, my red bumps are clearing up. I started using it on my face now too, I have sensitive skin and I noticed if I use too much it feels a bit sensitive. So I only need a small amount to do the trick, like slightly bigger than a pea sized amount of lotion. I love it, and I don't have to use my benzoyl peroxide because this has been clearing up my face as well. Also works great for the winter flakiness, love it!!

I use this lotion after my shower from shoulders to feet. It is pricey but works well for aging and dry skin.

I have dry skin on my legs and arms and this product works great. I also have Keratosis Pilaris and this lotion helps to control that problem very well. Was recommended to me several years ago by my doctor and I still find it works better than anything else I have used.

The symptoms I had [for several years] were, cracked and flaking skin mainly on the palms of both hands, sometimes flaring into swelling and hard to heal splits in the skin.

A dermatologist diagnosed the condition as eczema and wrote two or three prescriptions which I tried [can't remember what they were]. They were ineffective and expensive.

For some time I used Aquaphor [or a store-brand equivalent] which worked better than anything else, but there were still times when painful cracking and peeling would occur, lasting for days and unrelated to weather, diet, activity--nothing.

Then I tried Lac-Hydrin Five. It was at a time when I had open cracks in my skin and the lotion stung when applied and was so uncomfortable that I couldn't use it then--I thought it wasn't for me because it hurt and didn't seem to help. After a few days of just using Aquaphor, the sores had healed as usual but still had the same flaking and dryness symptoms and I decided to try Lac-Hydrin Five again. After about 3 days of applying a small amout morning and night, then using Aquaphor during the day if my hands felt dry, my hands appeared almost normal for the first time in about 10 years. That was almost a year ago. I have been using it faithfully since with no flare-ups at all, and, if I hear that the product may be changed or discontinued I will buy a lifetime supply to avoid having to go without it!

Extremely effective moisturizer with many many uses - worth every penny!!! I was first introduced to Lac Hydrin by prescription years ago when I developed strange gray/dry patches on my knuckles right after my kids were born (still not sure what it was?) but Lac Hydrin cleared it up within days. Now very happy to see this product over the counter. Both my children get mild ECZEMA on their hands in the winter, and of course we all have dry skin. I was hesitant to spend the $$$ but glad I did. Also, my 18-month-old nephew suffers from SEVERE ECZEMA on his hands and Lac Hydrin helped within a couple days!!! We have been using this on hands, feet, body with great success. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY...I even started using it on my FACE. I suffer from ACNE AND DRY SKIN (at age 37) and using this product on my face moisturizes better than anything I have ever tried and with no breakouts!!! I'm planning on using this product year round - LOVE IT!!! Use CAUTION though - alpha hydroxy product - stings a little if used on broken skin - FYI
